一、Teaching aims：

Knowledge aims:

Students will grasp past tense of some verbs. Meanwhile learning the sentence pattern: “——What did you do last Saturday?

——I saw a film.”

And students can use it in real situation. 2.

Ability aims:

To develop students’ listening, speaking and writing skills, and make sure that students can communicate with others skillfully. 3.

Emotional aims:

Students can share their life, happiness with others.

And encourage students to speak English out and loudly. 二、Key points & difficult points 1.

Key points: master past tense and new sentences. 2.

Difficult points: past tense. 三、Teaching procedures: Step 1:free talk. Students talk about their winter holiday.

Step 2:let’s learn. According to pictures, students learn key points: ——What did you do last Saturday? ——I saw a film.

Step 3:let’s practise. Students practise new sentences with their partners by using pictures in Let’s learn.

Step 4: guessing game. According to the pictures on PPT, students guess what Xiaoxin did last weekend.

Step 5: homework. Make a survey about what your family did last weekend and write it down.
