Ability aims Enable the students to learn about the famous inventor Ⅱ.contents; Step 1 check the homework. Get the students to finish the exercises on page 23-24. Step 2 ask the students to discuss the following questions;: A .What do you know about the inventor? B .How useful is his invention to society?

Step 3 let the students read the four questions first to get the general idea of what should he paid attention to and then play the tape for then to follow. When they finish ,let then exchange notes with their partners and find the supporting sentences.then check the answers with the whole class. Step 4 give the students the reading task: Do you know about the word famous painting “Mona Lisa”? Do you know who painted the picture? Do you think Leonardo da Vici is really a good painter?What else do you know he is famous for? Step 5 Ask the students to do exercise 1 and exercise 2 Then ask the students to do Exercise 3, that is , having a discussion
