Teaching aims: How to do proofing Teaching emphasis: Master main mistakes appearing in passages and methods to correct them. Teaching procedure: Task1: Lead-in T: Ask the students questions about mistakes appearing in their life (1).Have you ever made any mistakes? (2).If so, what did you do facing the mistakes? Ss: Of course, correct them.

T: Yeah, in our daily life, everyone can make mistakes. If we correct them, we’re still good fellows. And also when we are using a language, we can make some mistakes. Do you want to correct them? Ss: Certainly! T: Yeah, we must correct them. Ok, today we’re going to learn “How to do proofreading”(show this topic on the slide) Task2. Show what the trouble is when correcting

T: Think carefully. Can you get scores like this? Let’s look at these sentences, right or wrong? So, we should give our answers regularly when correcting.

Next, ask the students to read through the information about regular answers.
