Lesson36 Top Dog

一、教学目标

1. 语言能力目标:学生能够读懂故事情节;听懂故事;惟妙惟肖地模仿录音;绘声绘色地独立朗读故事;学习字母“o”的拼读规律;学会运用“This is …”表达方式。

2. 非语言能力目标:让学生从故事中体会Floppy 情绪上的变化,感受孩子们对Floppy的关爱;通过看图理解故事,培养学生的观察力和想象力;培养学生敢读、敢表达的自信和勇气。

二、教学用具

多媒体设备、课件、句卡、奖牌、头饰

三、课堂教学基本步骤

1.通过观看视频,导入字母“O”的发音

(1)视频结束,出示单词hot

(2)词卡展示op,og组合,分别学习以下单词,最后引出Top Dog

看图讲故事(Storytelling):理解故事情节,观察Floppy情绪上的变化

教师利用课件逐幅播放故事图片,并用丰富的表情、生动的英文和适当的肢体语言给学生绘声绘色地讲故事,让学生观察Dog Show的评选过程及Floppy的情绪变化。

(Picture 1)There was a dog show.

The children took Floppy to the dog show. “Look at all the dogs. I hope Floppy can win,” said Biff.

(Picture 2)Look! They were the judges.

They came to a little dog. The man got a medal for the dog. It won the third prize. “We like this dog. This is a little dog,” he said.

(Picture 3)Then, the judges came to a big dog. The man got a medal for the dog. It won the second prize. “We like this dog,” he said. “This is a big dog.”

(Picture 4)Which dog got the first prize? Was Floppy got the first prize? “We all like this dog,” he said. “This is the top dog.”

Look! Was Floppy happy?

No. Floppy was sad. (Picture 5)What did the children do?

They made a “Best of All” medal for Floppy.

They like Floppy best. Floppy was very happy. 3.听录音模仿(Listening and Imitating):听懂录音并模仿出标准的语音语调

放录音,全班学生齐声模仿跟读2-3遍。要求学生在理解故事内容的基础上,逐句跟录音指读。鼓励学生大胆开口,读出戏剧化效果,读出感情,让学生注意模仿“little”,“big”,“top”等词的强调语气,适当给予学生奖励。

检查理解(Story Comprehension):梳理故事情节,强化对故事的理解

(1)看图理解

教师将一、二、三等奖及best of all的奖牌平行贴到黑板中间,请学生根据教师提问,将故事中四只狗的图片贴在相应的奖牌下方。

(2)补全句子

教师将以下句卡贴到相应的小狗图片下方,让学生上台补全句子。句子如下:

This is ____ ____ ____. This is ____ ____ ____. This is ____ ____ ____. We like Floppy ____ ____ ____.

This is __ __ ___.

This is __ __ ___.

This is __ __ ___.

We like Floppy ___ ___ ___.

5.表演(Role-play):在模拟情景中体验故事场景,感受Floppy的悲与喜

通过表演,让学生在模拟情景中,再现颁奖场景,感受Floppy在狗展上的失落及回家后的惊喜。

(1)展示台词

(At the dog show.)

Biff:Look at all the dogs.

Judge 1: We like this dog. This is a little dog. Judge 2: We like this dog. This is a big dog. Judge 3: We all like this dog. This is the top dog. ( Floppy is sad. Biff, Chip and Kipper take him home.

Biff puts a medal around his neck. ) Biff, Chip, Kipper: We like Floppy best of all. (Floppy is happy.) (2)表演

将学生分成10人小组,分别扮演the little dog, the big dog, the top dog, Floppy, the judges, Biff, Chip, Kipper。学生练习后,教师可请1-2组学生上台表演。

6. 家庭作业(Homework)

(1)反复模仿录音,熟读故事。

(2)画一幅自己喜欢的一种动物的图片,并对其进行描述,如:I like this cat. This is a lovely cat.
