How much are these socks? Background information: Students: 40 students from class 2, grade 7 Time duration: 40 mins Teaching content: The 3rd period (Section B 1a – 2c) Grade 7, unit 7: How much are these socks? Grammar Focus Teaching aims: Get the students to learn how to ask about the price. Get the students to learn to talk about clothing. Teaching difficulties: The understanding of the difference between How much is and How much are. Teaching emphasis: The expression of asking and answering for prices. Teaching aids: Ppt, pictures Teaching procedures; Step 1: greetings. Step 2: review Students review how to ask and answer prices. They raise questions and answer questions according to the pictures

given. Step 3: Lead in. Students look at the pictures and talk about the color and prices of the clothes. Step 4: presentation: Students read the sentences in grammar focus. Students make more sentences. They share their sentences. Step 5: consolidation 1.

Students finish exercises 3a, 3b. Teacher provides help when necessary. 2.

Group work: Students work in groups to make conversations, They show their conversations to others. Teacher makes comments. Step 6: summary Students make a summary of what they have learned from this class. Step 7: homework Make your own conversations. Copy Grammar Focus.
