Step 1 Review

Look and say: Show some pictures, review the patterns --How much is ... ?

--It’s ... . --How much are ... ? --They’re ... .

Step 2 Presentation 1.

Show the Grammar Focus, let students translate and read together. 2.

Observe the Grammar Focus, and then summary the knowledge points about “how much”

and expand the other knowledge points. At last do some exercises to consolidate how much.

Step 3 Practice 1.Complete 3a, let students use the words in the boxes to make sentences.Compete in groups. 2. Complete 3b, let some students answer the questions.

Step 4 Pair work

3c pairwork. Students A, look at the pictures in 3b for a minute and then close your book. Student B, ask questions. Ask some pairs to come to the front to act out and compete in groups.

Step 5 Game Time

The teacher designs a real situation. Show some objects and price. Let some students role play according to the conversation of the clerk and customers.
