Help students grasp the useful words and expressions by doing exercises1,2,3 on page 32. 2.

Help students revise the useful structures of past participle and present participle as the adverbial by doing exercises 1,2,3on page 33, and doing more exercises on PPt. Teaching focus and difficulty: Learn the differences between present and past participle used as the adverbial. Teaching Procedure: Step 1. Group work Ask students work in groups to find out the words in the text and then finish the word square. Step 2. Ask students finish exercise 2 by themselves and then ask someone to share his/her answer. Step3. 1.

Read the sentences with the prases “in return,in disguise, in amazement, in delight and in particular”, trying to figure out their meaning. 2.

Finish exercise 3 by what we just learned. Step 4. Pair work Work in pairs and find out the errors in each sentence of exercise 2 on page 33 Step 5. Revise the usage of past participle as the adverbial. 1.Present the differences between past participle and present participle.

2.Do some exercises and analyze the usage. 3.Do more wxercises.
