Module 5 unit 2 Nine girls?

Teaching aims: It’s easy to know that, to enable the students to master the new words: one two three four five six seven eight. Then, to enable the students to understand and speak: How many? One. Make sure that students can use these sentences in real life.

The key-points

To help students ask and answer the questions and study in groups . The difficult points

To help the children master the sentences and make sure they can use them in real situations.

Teaching and learning methods

Make the students take part in class . Ask and answer in pairs and groups . I’ll use TPR, communicative method , discussing method to teach this lesson .

Teaching aids

In order to interest t he students . I’ll use a recorder and cards as my teaching aids .

Teaching procedures It will be finished in three steps.

------Step one, Lead in

Sing to attract the students’ attention.

Then tell students I take a new friend-Tom. let th e children count “How many cats are there?”, I ask “How many?” “One ,two, three, four .”

Students answer. Then, list the words on the blackboard, teach them to read all the words one by one, pay attention on the pronunciation, make sure everyone can read them fluently. During this period, I use many small games to help them, it will be funny and exciting. Then, I will divide the class into 4 groups.G1,G2,G3,G4.and tell them who do the good job, who can get a flower.

-----Step two, Presentation

1.The magic show.

First, tell Ss Panpan is coming. Today we have a magic show. Let’s look. (The screen display.) Panpan take eight rabbits out of his hat. then I write those words on the blackboard.

Then, practice with cards. Use the different forms.(T-Ss,G1-G2,S1-S2) -----Step three, Practice.

1.Show some numbers. eg.134,456,753…… Let’s Ss read.

2.Game: What’s missing.

3.Telephone number.

120,119,110……At last ask students who can remember home number? Tell students these number are very important.

----Step four, Communication

1. Look at the picture, use “How many?” to ask and answer.

2. Sing a song.

H omework: practice number with classmates .Use “How many?”
