Unit 10 Air 【教学目标】 1.
知识目标: 1)掌握本课四会单词air, everywhere, alive, factory, smoke, dirty(balloon为补充词)。
2)掌握句型It keeps them high in the sky,并熟读课文。
2.能力目标: 1)听懂有关空气的描述,会用It has no…谈论空气的特点。
2)会用What makes the air dirty?引发有关空气污染原因的讨论
3)用句型It keeps them high in the sky介绍空气的作用。
3.情感目标: 1) 在课堂活动中,调动学生的学习热情,激发学生英语学习的兴趣。
2) 在小组活动体验中,培养学生互助、合作学习的意识,提高学生运用语言能力。
3) 使学生了解空气的相关知识和现状,深刻懂得大气污染的重要性,从而认识到保护地球是我们每个人的责任,我们应该如何从日常生活中的点滴小事做起,爱护我们的家园。
【重点难点】 1.教学重点: 1) 会听、说、读、写单词air, everywhere, alive, factory, smoke, dirty。
2) 掌握句子It keeps them high in the sky. 并且在生活中灵活
运用它们。

【教学过程】 一、导入:Warming –up热身复习
文化感知 A guessing game.(Three bottles) T: Hi, boys and girls. Let’s play a guessing game. Look, I have three bottles here. Who can guess what’s in Bottle1?(学生猜) Yes, you are right. There’s some sand. What colour is the sand? T: Look at Bottle2. What’s in it? Yes, you are right. There’s some juice. What colour is it? Taste it. How does it feel? (找一学生品尝) T: I have another bottle. Who can guess what’s in it?(学生猜不出时出示)Look, What’s in it? Is there anything in it? (学生也许会说里面没有东西) Are you sure? I think there is something in it. You cannot see
it. Think it over. What is it? (有学生猜出时出示单词并板书air,出示课题。读单词air) 设计意图: 猜测游戏活不但跃了课堂气氛,拉近了师生的距离,而且很自然地进入到本课的主要话题。
二、Presentation 1.出示air课件及音标,学生试读。之后领读。之后出示课件fair, hair.学生试读。
设计意图:这部分目的在于让学生学会归类,通过归类学习词语,可以举一反三、事半功倍,让学生体会到好的学习方法对于英语学习的重要性。
2. T: Does air have smell? Does it have colour? Can you see it? Can you feel it? Who can say how air is? 学生回答后初听录音
(设计意图:初听录音,使学生对空气有个初步认识,为下一步学习做好铺垫)。
3.让学生自己说一说空气。
设计意图:通过学生不断巩固air的特点,让学生更好地掌握所学知识,以便更灵活地理解和掌握语言,达到交流运用的目的。
4. New structure learning T: Air is very important to us. But where is it? (学生回答)Is air in the classroom? Is it in the playground? Yes. Air is everywhere. 设计意图:通过提问,很自然地过渡到另一词的学习,问题的设计更好
地让学生理解everywhere词义。
T;出示单词及音标,学生读,之后领读。出示(学生读) class+room→ classroom, play+ground →playground, some+thing →something.(构词法) 之后出示词义解释Here and there, each place.学生读出。出示句子Air is everywhere.学生读。之后让学生说一说对空气的再认识。Air has no smell and no taste. It has no colour or shape. Air is everywhere. 设计意图:用最简短的语言解释新单词的意思,使学生通俗易懂;通过列举词让学生感受英语构词方法,从而对这类词有了更好的理解和记忆。
T: Air is everywhere. It keeps people and animals alive. (出示两条鱼图片)Look at the two pictures. What are the difference between this two fish? (提示 Can the fish swim in Picture1? Why?)出示dead及词义领读两遍。It can’t swim, because it’s dead.出示另一图片,Look at this one. Can it swim? Why? Because it’s not dead. It’s “alive”.出示alive及音标,学生读,领读。
设计意图:两个生动的图片和精心设计的问题能使学生更好地理解alive的词义,并扩展了反义词dead,使学生更自然地接受新知。
T: What keeps the fish alive?(学生很可能回答如食物,水,小鱼等等。)
What keeps you and me alive? (学生很可能回答如食物,水,空气等等。) Yes, you are all right. 出示课件:We can live without food for five weeks. We can live without water for five days. We can live without air for only five minutes.学生试读
。
T: Is air important? 出示We all need it to keep us alive.找学生读之后齐读。
设计意图:这部分的扩展在于让学生更深刻地了解空气对我们的重要性,从而为下面学习做铺垫。
出示balloon。Look, what’s this? Yes, it’s a “balloon”.出示音标单词,学生读。Does it need air?(出示课件) How does a balloon lift people up? What does it use?出示It uses hot air. (学生读) (出示图片)Look the balloon and the kite. Look at the plane and the bird. They are high in the sky. Why? (学生答) Yes. They all need air. It keeps them high in the sky.(出示四会句型)让学生试读后跟读。
设计意图: 通过几个问题的设计,让学生知道空气出了人类动物意外还有很多其他的作用。
5.出示课件(图片balloon, kite, plane, bird新单词alive, everywhere, air句型It has no…,It keeps them …)
Boys and girls, do you know the air well now? Can you say some sentences about air? (小组说,汇报,最后一起说) 设计意图:用新学单词句型作为信息点,让学生组成短句说说空气。这部分设计目的在于让学生做以小结、巩固新知,并把新知灵活运用。

(学生小组完成) 设计意图:通过听读,让学生学会使用正确的语音语调,从而提高自己的听读能力;问题和填空的设计有梯度,目的是让学生更好地巩固学习,对空气的特点及作用更加深刻的认识。让学生独立思考,有利于教师关注到每一位学生的学习效果,从而调整对不同学生的要求,保护
他们学习英语的自信心。
2)短文拓展练习。 Last Sunday, we went to a park. It was a sunny day. The sky was blue. There were a lot of trees in the park. The air in the park was fresh(新鲜的)and clean. We had a picnic. We ate a lot of delicious food and listened to music. After that, we put all the rubbish into the bin. Because Little things can make a big difference(不同). Then we took a walk and enjoyed the fresh air in the park. We all had a good time. 1. Where did go last Sunday? They went to a park. 2. How was the weather? It was sunny / fine. 3. How was the air in the park? It was fresh and clean. 4. What did they do after picnic? They put all the rubbish into the bin. 设计意图: 通过整体感知课文内容能够帮助学生快速了解学习内容的大体意思,在合作中找出文中的知识点,通过问题回答加深对课文内容细节的理解,从而提高学生阅读能力的训练。
三、Post-activities:
1. T: So, air is very important. We live on the earth. We breathe air every day. But today, look at the two pictures. What happened? How’s the air in the pictures? T: We call the dirty air “air pollution”.读两遍(图片) 2.课后延伸 Is the air important? So what should we do then? We should keep the air clean. We should protect our home, the earth and let it become clean and beautiful more and more. Now Let watch some beautiful pictures. (观看画面)画面最后停留在带有英文小诗的画面上: T: Are these pictures beautiful? How do you feel? I think the sky is so blue. And the air is very clean and fresh in the picture. Right? Now let’s read this poem. When the sky blue again, the rivers become clean, and the grass is always green, we'll live a healthier and happier life. 当天空再次湛蓝, 河水变得清澈, 草地永远碧绿, 我们才会拥有更健康更快乐的生活
(学生试读然后齐读)。
四、Homework Boys and girls, we know that little things can make a big difference. Every day is the World Earth Day. So the homework is writing a short passage about helping the Earth. Do a small thing to protect the air after class. Then make report. Goodbye, boys and girls. 设计意图: 进一步为学生创设真实的语言环境,让他们在生活中使用语言,训练他们的口语表达能力,这样的调查活动促使学生在实践活动中运用所学英语,增强对所学英语的体验。并让他们在实践中认识到环保要从小事做起,从自我做起。
