Read a story: A noisy neighbour
一、教材分析
本节课的教学栏目是Read a story: A noisy neighbour《吵闹的邻居》。故事主要讲述的是一只猫头鹰和三只兔子一起生活在森里里。猫头鹰是个吵闹的邻居,每晚制造噪音打扰兔子睡觉,而且不听兔子请求。最后兔子想出了主意,它们在地下挖了个洞,然后在洞里睡了个好觉。于是如今许多兔子都住在洞里。本栏目的故事选材符合小学英语新课程标准,能够激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣。通过阅读故事,也能使学生掌握一定的英语基础知识和语言技能,尤其是能提高学生的阅读理解能力。本栏目的故事用一般过去时讲述,进一步呈现了核心句型在真实语境中的运用。故事内容也紧紧围绕着本单元的话题,讲述了和邻居相处的情况。本节课要求学生通过阅读故事,能抓住关键信息理解故事大意,并能掌握重点词汇及行为动词的过去式变化。
二、学情分析
本课时因为学习的是一则寓言故事,学生应该比较感兴趣。但同时文中出现了一些生词,还有不少单词学生已经遗忘或者以前根本没学过,因此要理解故事内容也有一定难度。针对学生现有认知程度及学校教学资源配备现状,为了让学生能更快更好地理解故事大意,我准备了学案及故事图片等教具,并要求学生进行初步的预习,以此来服务教学,以便教学过程更顺利地展开。

通过阅读故事《吵闹的邻居》,能抓住关键信息理解故事大意。3、情感目标

StepⅠ Pre-task preparations
1、出示兔子和猫头鹰的图片,请学生跟读单词owl,rabbits。
T:What’s this? S: It’s an owl.
What color is it? It’s black.
Does it sleep at night? No, it doesn’t. Do you like it? No, I don’t.
What are they? They are rabbits. What color are they? They are white.
Do they sleep at night? Yes, they do.
Do you like them? Yes, we do.
T: The rabbit looks lovely. It has two long ears and two red eyes. It can hop.
The owl doesn’t look lovely. It has two big eyes. It sleeps during the day and stays awake at night. …
2、出示故事图片,引出本单元的故事。
T:Here is a story about an owl and some rabbits, A noisy neighbour.
3、展示预习效果,翻译以下单词、短语。

1、Fast reading(快速阅读故事,回答问题。)
T: Who is the noisy neighbour, rabbits or owl?
S:Owl.
2、Slow reading(带着以下问题,再次细读故事。)
(1)W here did the rabbits and the owl live?
(The rabbits lived under the tree. The owl lived in the tree.)
(2)Why was the owl not a good neighbour?
(He was a noisy neighbour. He made a lot of noise every night.)
(3)What happened one night?(The owl made noise again.) What did the rabbits say to the owl?
(“Please stop making noise at night. We can’t sleep.”) (4)What idea did the rabbit have?
(“Let’s dig a hole and sleep in it.”)
(5)What did the rabbits do then?

3、Group work(小组合作学习,讨论以上问题。)
