一、教材分析

(Analysis of the teaching material)

本课使用的教材是外研2011课标版三年级起点（陈琳主编），本教材课文有趣且朗朗上口，是通过活动的层层递进来实现教学。一般来说，活动一为引入，活动二为主体课文，后面的活动作为练习和巩固。但是，活动与活动之间缺乏一定的衔接，因此在此基础上我引入了我的朋友Sarah作为整课的线索贯穿始终，就像一根线将一系列活动串联起来，但课堂主体仍然是教材自身的活动。

本课内容为四年级下册Module 5 Unit 2 There were young。第二单元作为第一单元的延续，对孩子们的知识技能上均有一定拔高。同时，这是孩子们初识过去式并且有难度较大的不同人称be动词及其否定式的使用，对于接触英语一年多的孩子仍有一定难度，如何在教授过程让同学们能够去感知并且理解过去时态及肯否定式是本课的重点及难点。

二、学生学情分析

(Analysis of the students)

四年级的学生大概处在十岁左右，这个阶段的儿童注意力不稳定，不持久，难于长时间地注意同一件事物，容易为一些新奇刺激的事务所吸引。所以他们对课件、课堂故事性有一定要求。

另一方面，他们感知事物的特点比较笼统，不精确，往往只注意到一些孤立的现象，看不出事物之间的联系和特点，对时间的概念也比较模糊。因此将抽象的时间概念通过时间轴的方式具化出来，便于学生理解。

本课面对的是农民工子弟学校学生，学生基础较为薄弱，对英语有一定的畏惧心理，因此对课堂趣味性、生动性有了更高的要求。

三、教学目标(Teaching Aims)
