Unit 7 How much are those socks?(3a-3c) Lesson plan Analysis of teaching metarial This lesson is suitable for students who can speak some simple sentences and simple words in daily life. This lesson is also going to talk about price of singluar and plural words. Analysis of target In this class, most of students could use simple sentences which were learned in former units. Some of them have fifficulty using and identfying words. Teaching aims By the end of class, student could use how much are/is correctly in their lives, also they could use English to buy or sale what they need. Therefore, students are more interested in speaking English. Teaching methods To achieve above goals, teacher has to use : 1. Cooprative teaching method 2. Communicative teaching method 3. Task-based teaching method 4. Action method Difficult and key points 1.

Difficult points are to identify the diffrence between “how much is…” and “how much are…” and answer each of them corrctly. 2.

Key points are to make good use of “how much …”correctly in their conversations and students also could use their own words to make role-play conversation. Teaching procedure Step1 Warming-up (3 minutes) Teacher: Good morning, boys and girls. Students:Good morning, teacher. Teacher:What is this in English? Students:… Teacher: What color is it? Students:… Step2 Presentation(26minutes) Part 1(8minutes) Teacher:How much is this/that…? Students:It’s…(teacher holds a book to ask first question and puts the book far away from teacher and asks second question.) Part 2 (8minutes)

Teacher:How much are these/those…? Students:They are…(teacher show some pens to ask students the questions. If students couldn’t answer it correctly teacher picks up student to ask the question which I have asked before, then let students practice in pairs.) Part 3 (10minutes) 1.

Ask students to practice on screen and let them make their own conversations to show us. 2.

After finishing these parts, students could finish 3a and 3b by themselves. First check each other, then teacher show those answers and check all together. Part 4(10minutes) Excercise time. Choose the correct answer for those options. 1.
