Unit 2 Neighbours Step 1 Lead-in Get students to enjoy a song and then ask them some questions. 1.

What is the song about？

What do you want to be in the future? T: Different students want to do different jobs. No matter what you want to be, just work hard and your dream will come true.

Step 2 Presentation

1. Show students some pictures and ask students to say the names of different jobs. T: Look at these people. They live next to Simon’s home.So we can say they are Simon’s... S: neighbours T: Great! Simon’s neighbours do different kinds of jobs.Now please look at the pictures and then tell me what do they do. 2.Conclusion T: If we want to ask others’ jobs in English, what can we say?

Play a game: Crossword Puzzle T: OK. Now let’s play a game called Crossword Puzzle. There are two hints for you. The first one ,all the words are about jobs. The second one, we learnt these words just now. The first group to work out the puzzle can get two points. 4.

Practice: Finish part A and check the answers in pairs. T: Simon’s neighbours have different jobs. But where do they work? Now please look at part A and match these people with the places.
