教学目标：掌握并在语境中使用以下重点词汇词汇speed up、cut … into pieces、

date from

、not more than Scream以及次重点词汇arrest、interrupt、messy、gay、division、fed up with analysis

教学重难点1、掌握词汇音、义及运用。

2.通过情景设计，达到学习和运用的目的。

Step1 Lead-in George: An academic professor Jane: A receptionist of a kindergarten On February ,14,2012, Jane was killed by her husband, George in her house. 设计目的和意图：通过图片介绍故事当中两个重要的主人公，George和 Jane。激发学生的好奇心和求知欲。也为下文故事的引出做铺垫。

Step2 Put them into right order. ( ) This kind of powder was enough to speed up

one’s pulse until he or she died.

( ) Firstly, George cut a kind of seashell into pieces with a sharpened knife. ( ) The poison can date from 10,000 BC when people rubbed it on spears to kill beasts. ( ) He hammered it into powder on a skateboard, which was

and scratched her chest. 设计目的和意图：把相对较难的词汇融入具体语境，降低难度先让学生对重点词汇在语境中有初步的认知，在此基础上设计较为灵活的排序题，学生需要把握句子的意思，连句成篇，词汇的学习不是单独的、孤立的。不能脱离语境单独存在，语境中学习无疑是最好的训练方法。

Step3请在单词表中找出下列单词的近义词并用适当的形式完成句子。

设计目的意图：根据具体的语境学生猜出所学新词汇的意思，再将词汇运用到具体的语境中巩固复习，这样的学习更扎实，学生也不会感觉到太枯燥。教师有目的地引入或创设与所学词汇相关的具体情景,以引起学生一定的态度体验,从而帮助学生更好地理解和掌握所要学习的词汇。

Step4 Fill in the blanks. After tentative examination, the police _________________________ But systematic botanical ___________ showed that the watermelon ________ on the __________ mat and the quilt was poisonous. ________________________________________, the acute and ______________ policemen used radioactive equipment to find out the category of the poison. ___________________________________,they got accurate results _____________ . 设计意图：这一部分是设计了Running-dictation这样一个环节，目的是增大难点词汇的复现率，让学生通过这样一个有趣的活动反复复习中难点词汇，词汇的学习变得有趣，这样既能加强学习氛围,又能提高学习积极性,从而有效实现词汇教学的目标。

Step5 How did the police analyse the case? _____________________________________________________________________________ 设计意图：讨论案情的发展，给学生充分的时间表达自己的观点，回忆旧知识，运用新知识，达到知识的衔接。

Step6 Retell the case 设计意图：复述案情是较为复杂、综合性很强活动，而且思维还要缜密。学生在梳理案情的同时运用所学词汇，小组的相互合作学习、取长补短。学习效果最大化。

总之，词汇教学的最终目的不仅仅是简单的识记,还包括正确的使用。本课以建构主义学习理论和认知学习理论为理论依据,依据不同词汇创设对应情景，通过图片、表演、故事或者任务呈现情景,从而激发学生学习兴趣、调动学生情感、提高学习效率。

After tentative examination, the police assumed she died of heart disease. But systematic botanical analyses showed that the watermelon spit on the messy mat and the quilt was poisonous. Regardless of tiredness and starvation, the acute and skillful policemen used radioactive equipment to find out the category of the poison. Although their alternative equipment was not ample ,they got accurate results somehow.
