要求学生掌握更多克隆方面的知识和课文中相关的语言点，并运用文中的知识进行创造性或半创造性的活动（英语写作）。

一、设计思路

1、指导思想。

新课程改革要求教师在阅读教学过程中不能“满堂灌”,也不能“淡化阅读与语感”,要结合学生的实际,从他们的生活体验出发,激发他们学习英语的兴趣。我认为要做到优化阅读教学,在阅读教学中应该多与学生互动,让学生积极参与到课堂教学中来,真正让学生在用中学,阅读教学才会有成效。

动物克隆这个话题对于学生来说相对生疏，毕竟多利羊的诞生也只是在新闻报道和课文中提到，所以老师需要给学生提供真实情景，让学生了解恐龙克隆的可能性和现实性，分清克隆动植物的优缺点，再以辩论的形式帮助学生更好地了解克隆的运用。这一过程中，教师与学生有充分的互动，让学生在实际的反复操练中掌握这一知识。

2.教学目标

本节课需要学生做到以下几点

1 ) 能在电影短片中初步感受到克隆的意义

2) 能够总结克隆的优缺点

3) 根据例句总结课文中的语言知识点并造句

4) 在辩论情景的帮助下通过反复练习掌握这克隆的优缺点

5)在小组活动中积极参与，展示大方，清晰。

3.教学重点及难点

1）

文中的主要语言点和常见表达

2）克隆的优缺点比较

3）如何采用恰当的词汇，运用自己的观点开展辩论赛并写出相关论点

二、教学准备

网上下载英文电影短片以及字幕,使用迅雷播放器，方便学生上课时能看见并朗读，搜索课堂上需要使用到的与学生日常生活有关的图片并截图，使用power point制作课件，插入音乐和相关图片，设想学生在课堂中可能会遇到的问题，将其编写在课件内的学生活动中。问句和例句尽量采用学生日常使用的句型。

三、教学过程

设计原则： 本节课采取了“简明实用”的设计原则。注重学生活动的数量和质量。

方法选择： 1. 任务驱动，逐层递进 2. 集体参与，大组合作，小组展示 3.泛读与精读相结合 4.小组辩论

本节课是人教版选修八第二单元的第二篇阅读课文，以“The return of the dinosaurs?”为话题展开，课型丰富，实际是读说写三个部分，是一篇Reading for discussing and writing的典型课例，下面谈谈我这堂课的总结和反思: 这节课的成功之处是组织科学，合理而紧凑，文章简单易懂，生词量不大，可是它引出的话题讨论和写作所需的词汇量却是巨大的，因此，做好词汇，语料和语法等准备就十分必要。在这堂课中，我组织学生讨论，引导学生积极思考，调动学生对于争议话题的兴趣并指导学生把观点写下来。

不足之处就是时长控制不到位，基础薄弱的学生思考时间不够，可能跟不上，阅读过程中没有带领学生关注和研读in fact, unfortunate等感情色彩浓厚的转折词。
