Step 1. Warm-up 1.Greetings and free talk 2.Sing an English song “At a nature park”

3.Talk about the objects in the classroom using the sentence”Is there...?”

[设计意图: 课前用唱歌的形式来活跃课堂气氛，调动了学生学习英语的积极性；再用“Is there...? ”句型来谈论教室里的物体，同时也复习了旧知，为新知做铺垫。]

1. Teach the new words and pharses

(1) Teach “bridge”

Show a picture of a house to teach the word. Pay attention to the pronouciation of the group”ou”.

B. Show a picture which has many houses and read the sentences. T: How many houses are there in the pictures? Lead students to answer using the sentence” There are ...houses in the picture.” to answer.

(3)Teach “village”

Show a picture of a village where there are many trees, birds and a river. Lead students to read some times.

(4)Use the same way to teach the words”building” and “forest”. Lead students to read the words several times.

(5)Introduce the dialogue scene

Oliver and Wu Yifan are in a village now. They are talking about the things in the village. Let’s listen to the tape and see.

(6)Play the tape and read after it.Remind students to try to imitate the intonation and voice.

Listen again and repeat.

(7)Work in pairs and make a new dialogue with the partners. Then have some students present it in the front.

Write four sentences using the sentences “There be...”
