To analyze the teaching aims 1: Aims on the knowledge

(1) Master the words and phrase “ stomachache, headache, toothache, tired, watch too much TV, have a rest”.

Learn the modal for giving advice: “

You should ...”

and “

You shouldn’t ...”

2. Aims on the abilities (1) To develop students abilities of listening and speaking. (2) To train the students ability of working in groups. 3. Aims on the emotion (1) To foster students' consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition.

Some pictures, PPT, computer, tape recorder, words and sentence cards VI: Teaching procedures I’ll finish this lesson in five steps. Step 1. Warm-up and review 1.

Show the pictures about daily habits the students have learned last lesson. Ask them answer the phrases, such as: wash hands before eating, eat with dirty hands, brush our teeth every day, eat too much candy, drink milk every day drink too much juice exercise every day go to bed early. 2.

After that present the answers on PPT, read the phrases again. 3.

Ask the students “ If we want to keep healthy, what should we do? Or what shouldn’t we do?”

Make sure the students can divided the phrases into right parts. 5.

Fill in the blanks,mark the ticks in “we should ...”part; mark the cross in “we shouldn’t...”part. Step2. Presentation A: New words and sentences 1.At the beginning of new lesson, I give a question to students: “If we keep some bad habits in our daily life,what will happen to our body?”

I give a sign to students, “ If we eat with dirty hands, what will happen? If we eat too much candy, what will happen? If we watch too much TV, what will happen?...”

Present the new words : stomachache, toothache , headache, tired 3.

Try to pay attention to “

ache “

, it means pain, help the students understand the meaning. 4.

With the help of body language,lead the student to read the words, make sure they can say it correctly. 5.

If you got a headache/stomachache/toothache...,we should ask... Then I present new sentences “

What’s wrong?”and the students answer “ I’ve got a ...”

Practice the patterns “ what’s wrong? I’ve got a... ”

B: New dialogue

1. Show the new dialogue with the help of the computer,then ask the questions:

“ Who are they? Where are they? What are they doing? What’s wrong with Frank? 2. After watching the new dialogue, the students answer the questions. 3. Listen the dialogue again, the important points are “

What should Frank do? What shouldn’t Frank do?”

The students try to answer the questions. 4. Read the dialogue,try to understand the meaning of the dialogue. 5. Divided the whole class into six groups, discuss the questions,then report the answer. 6. Read the dialogue and fill in the blanks. 7. Act the dialogue in pairs. Step3.

Let’s play 1.

Show the pictures and ask “ What’s wrong with them?”

Group work: with different situations give different advice. Use the new sentences, such as “ What’s wrong? I’ve got a ....

Task-based teaching method , communication method and group cooperate method are used here. Making new dialogues can check if the students use the new lesson correctly and skillfully. 4.

Create the real situation then act the tasks out. 5.
