教材内容分析：

本课是冀教版英语五年级下册第二单元的第一课，课文内容是延续上一单元李明、Jenny、Danny和李夫人一行四人去北京旅行的故事，现在他们到达北京，在去宾馆的路上谈论看到的人们正在做的事情，教学内容贴近学生生活。本课延续第一单元的现在进行时态，涉及到了一些复杂的可数名词单数变复数的词汇及句型。

学生情况分析：

通过第一单元的学习，学生们对现在进行时态已经有了一定的了解。关于名词单复数，对可数名词变复数（+s）的形式很熟悉，但本课中出现的特殊变化形式（men\women\children），学生是初次接触。学生对单复数句型变化有所了解，但应用中还不熟悉，经常会出现错误。在教学中应该注重口语练习，以巩固所学知识。

教学目标：

1、知识与技能目标：

（1）使学生能听懂、说出、认读并书写下列单词“men、women、children、people”。

（2）学生能够熟练应用“There are many.……They are

ing.……”等句型进行对话练习。

（3）能正确运用“ men 、

women、children”这些名词的单、复数形式。

2、情感态度价值观：

（1）培养学生较好的文化意识与英语语感。

（2）增强学生合作意识及良好的竞争意识。

教学过程：

Review 1、Let' sing a song .(Who is sing?)

提问：What is the woman doing?

What is the baby doing? New concepts

一、New words. 1、

利用图片学习新单词。

This is a man.

These are men.(板书新单词：men) This is a woman.

These are women.(板书新单词：women) This is a child.

These are children.(板书新单词：children) Men ,women ,children are people .(板书新单词：people) 2、讲解men

把全班同学分成两组，每组都有人扮演man，woman ，boy ，girl。听指令做动作。做错总人次少的组获胜。

A woman read.

All the women jump. 二、New sentences.

1、紧接上面的游戏，继续发出指令：All the children run.学生做动作的同时提问：What are the children doing?

(The children are running.) 发出指令All the men sleep.提问：What are the men doing?

(The men are sleeping.) 发出指令All the women walk.提问：What are the women doing?

(The women are walking.) 2、看图片练习上面的句型。

三、The text.

1、Listen to the tape, answer the questions.

Read the text together. 四、Homework. What can you see on your way to your school? Write it down.
