Theme: The natural world Topic: In the zoo Period: 1st period Task: To express the 4 words of zoo animals and ask and answer the general question to identify the animals. Background study and material analysis:

This lesson is about the animals in the zoo. Most of the students know the “bear, tiger, monkey and panda”, so the teacher could let them to talk freely about what they can see in the zoo. And also, the students could try to use these new animal words in the special question they learned before. Furthermore, they can combine the adjectives like “fat, brown, cute…” to describe these animals. But the students should pay attention on the using of article as there is no article in front of the adjectives because they are not familiar with it. Students could understand the Yes-No-question for confirming information. Objectives:

1. To express the words of zoo animals “bear tiger monkey panda” .

2. To use special question to ask and answer about the new animal words and describe the animals. “What’s this/that?” “It’s a…. It’s…”

3. To use the general question of “Is that/this a …?” “Yes/No, it’s a …” through making dialogues. Difficulties: 1.

To use the article correctly. 2. To distinguish the special question with the general question.
