一、教材分析
本课是七年级下册Unit 9 My favorite subject is science. (Section B 1a-1d)的教学内容。本单元的中心话题是“学校课程”。本课是通过听说练习呈现更多描述性形容词,话题由学科拓展到其他校园活动。语言技能和语言知识都是围绕“学校课程”这一中心话题设计的。
二、教学目标及内容
1、掌握下列词汇:
free, cool, Tuesday, Wednesday,Thursday, Sunday, A.M., P.M.…
2、学习表示星期的名词,并理解星期与日期的区别。
3、继续复习“谈论偏爱”和“询问喜欢的学科并给出理由”的语言结构;
三、教学重点
1、
学习表示星期的名词,并理解星期与日期的区别。
2、
能谈论他人所喜欢的科目,及原因,询问课程的时间安排。
3、
谈论一周的课程安排,学会合理地安排自己的作息时间。
四、教学难点
让学生运用所学语言项目“询问喜欢的科目、时间并给出理由”。

七、教学步骤
Step 1 Warming-up/Revision 1.
Greeting 2.
Talk with the students about what day it is today to review the days they have learnt. And show and teach the seven days in a week one by one to the Ss by asking some questions about these days. Then ask them to talk about the days in a week and what they think about the days. It can be like this: T: What day is it today? Ss: It’s Monday. T: Yes, you are right. There are 7 days in a week. Today is Monday. What day is after Monday? S1: It’s Tuesday. (可由学生回答或老师自问自答,并教读该词)
老师继续提问:What day is before Monday? S2: It’s Sunday. (同法教读) 以同法教读Wednesday和Thursday, 并复习Friday 和Saturday。
待教读完所有星期词语后,运用多媒体呈现星期单词,操练如下:
(1)全班齐读星期的单词一个两遍。
T:Now, let’s read the days in a week together. (Sunday, Sunday, …) (2)老师指,学生读。
T:Now I point at the days and you say them. (3)老师问,学生答
T: What day is before/after Monday/…? 3.
Talk about what the teacher thinks of the days in a week. Then teach the new descripition words (busy, free, cool) T: On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, we have lots of classes. We are busy. But on Saturday and Sunday, we have no classes, we are free. I think that’s great, that’s cool. (教读新词busy, free, cool) Step 2 Presentation 1. Ask the students about their favorite days and the reasons why they like them. It can be like this: T: What do you think of the days in a week? What’s your favorite day? S1: Monday. T: Why do you like Monday? S1: Because I have P.E.. T: Why do you like P.E.? S1: Because it’s interesting.
(Ask 2-3 students to answer the questions.) 2.
利用多媒体图片呈现不同种类的学科和活动图片,复习学过的学科及活动名称
逐张呈现学科及活动画面(Chinese, math, English, science, P.E., geography, art, music, history, soccer game, birthday party),通过观察图片引导学生逐个复习旧词并带读,为接下来的讨论做铺垫。
T:What classes do we have at school? Look here, we have Chinese,…. 3. 待复习所学学科名称后,运用多媒体呈现不同的人物表情,把学生带入预设的情景中,把抽象的形容词变成形象的表情,从而让学生理解掌握词语。
方法如下:
老师首先说:As for the subjects and activities at school, different students have different ideas. Please look at them?
(1) 利用多媒体呈现数学书及一个女孩感兴趣的表情图片搭配文字,通过师生问答的方式引出本课句型. T:Does the girl like math? S1: Yes. T: Why does she like math? S1: Because it’s fun/interesting. T: When is the class? S1: It’s on Tuesday.
点击屏幕,呈现interesting/fun及以上划线句型,并教读。方法如下:

全班齐读(Read it together)

组与组之间轮流读(Read it group by group)

请个别学生读(Read individually)
(2) 利用多媒体呈现美术书和一个男孩感到无聊的图片,同法引出本课句型。
T: Does the boy like art? S2:No, he doesn’t. T: Why doesn’t he like art? S2: Because it’s boring. T: When is the class? S2: It’s on Wednesday. 点击屏幕,呈现boring单词及句型,并教读,方法同上。
(3)利用多媒体呈现语文书及一个男孩感觉简单的图片,师生问答引出本课句型. T: Does the boy like Chinese? S3: Yes, he does. T: Why does he like Chinese? S3: Because it’s easy. T: When is the class? S3:It’s on Thursday. 点击屏幕,呈现easy单词及重点句型,并教读,方法同上。
(4) 利用多媒体呈现地理书及一个男孩感觉困难的图片,师生问答引出本课句型。
T: Does the boy like geography? S4: No, he doesn’t. T: Why doesn’t he like geography? S4: Because it’s difficult. T: When is the class? S4: It’s on Sunday. 点击屏幕,呈现difficult及重点句型,并教读,方法同上。
Step 3 1a 运用多媒体呈现1a内容。
1. Ask the students open the books and turn to page 52. Do Activity 1a. T: Now open your books and turn to page 52. Look at 1a. Here are some opposites. Match the words on the left with their opposites on the right. 2. Check the answers. boring --- interesting/fun difficult --- easy busy --- free
Step 4 A game: Let’s play a game 运用形容词卡片进行抽卡片说反义词的游戏。具体操作如下:
T: Now, let’s play a game. I show you some description words. Please say the opposites. If you know, please stand up and say the opposites as quickly as possible. (1)一次抽取一张说反义词 (2)同时抽取两张说反义词
Step 5 1b
利用多媒体呈现1a的形容词,要求学生听音并勾出1a的形容词。为下一步听音任务做准备。
方法如下:
1. T:Just like us, David is talking with his father about what he thinks of the subjects. Listen and check the words you hear in 1a. 2. Check the answers (1)T: Which word did you hear? S1:Difficult. T: What subject does David think is difficult? S1: He thinks math is difficult for him. (2)T: What else did you hear? S2: Interesting. T: What subject does he think is interesting? S2: Chinese. Step 6 1c/1d 运用多媒体直观地呈现David的课表,并引导学生熟悉课表后完成1c的听音任务及1d的填空题。方法如下:

看课表讨论每天的课程和活动
T:Here is David’s class schedule. Look at it. When does he have on Monday/Tuesday/… in December? S1.2…: He has science…. 2. 熟悉课表后,让学生听音在课表中圈出David在对话中提到过的课程名称。(1b) T: Listen to the conversation again. Circle the classes David talks about on this schedule. Check the answers: Chinese, math, science and music 2.
1d. (1)
继续呈现课表,与一位学生针对David最喜爱的学科,原因及时间进行问答。
T:What’s David’s favorite subject? S: Chinese. T: Why does he like Chinese? S: Because it’s interesting. T: When is the class? S: It’s on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. (2)
要求学生完成1d填空。
T: Let’s finish 1d. (3)通过从全班到组到个人点线面结合的方式机械操练What,Why和When句型
Step 6 Practice 要求学生运用本课所学句型结合实际谈谈自己最喜爱的学科、原因及时间。方法如下:
1. 师生示范对话(询问三位学生)
T:Do you have your favorite subject? What’s your favorite subject? Why do you like it? When is the class? 2.
安排学生三人一组运用所学句型展开讨论,并完成课前准备的一张表格。
T:Work in groups of three and talk about what your favorite subject is, the reason why you like it and when the class is by using the structions. Then write them down in the chart. 在学生讨论时,将要用到的句型结构及可能用到的形容词通过多媒体展现在屏幕上。
3. 陈述结果。
Step 7 Discuss and write 让学生运用所学句型谈论生活当中对于不同人或物的喜好及原因,再讨论的过程中将拍档所喜爱的人或物及其原因做好记录,然后,将有关的信息写一篇关于我的拍档的喜好的作文。操作方法如下:

老师提出话题
T: I think you have lots of things you like. What’s your favorite color/sport/animal/vegetable/food/club/fruit/subject/activity…? (询问多各学生) T:Why? 2.
学生展开讨论
T: Please talk with your partner like this. You can talk with the things on the screen and you can also talk about other things you like. And write them down. 3.
学生写作
T:Please write down the things your partner likes and the reason why he/she likes it. You can choose three or four points to write.
Step 8 Summary T: I think everyone has his or her own hobbiees. No matter what thing we meet, we should keep ourselves happy. Take it easy and we will have a happy life. During the class, we have talked about our favortie subjects, the reason why we like them and the time when we have them. We can use these sentences to ask: What’s your favorite…? Why do you like …? When is the class? T: Thank you very much. So much for today. Goodbye.
