1.Teacher says there are lots of countries in the world，

What countries in the world do you know？By asking this question ，

the students may answer “China，America，England…..”.the

teacher can do a group match to see which group can tell the class

the most names of the countries. In this way, the students certainly

want to know the names of other countries. So ,the teacher

can present the name of countries :France ,Japan, Russia, Thailand with the pictures on P7. 2.Write France, Japan, Russia, Thailand on the blackboard ,ask

students to read them fluently. 3. Presentate the capitals of the countries.

First, the teacher tells the students “Beijing is the capital of China”,

do you know the capitals of other countries ? By powerpoint, the

teacher can present other capitals with pictures and maps. The capital of the USA is Washington DC. The capital of the UK is London. The capital of France is Paris.

The capital of Japan is Tokyo. The capital of Russia is Moscow. 1

Comic strip presentation: 1.Pratice the following patterns: 2.The teacher show the students the pictures of “palace,

restaurant” and teaches the students read them fluently. Then asks

students “in these two places .Where would you like to live?”

“What about Eddie and Hobo?” “Where do you think Eddie and

Hobo would like to live in?”

3 Give students 3 minutes to prepare, then encourage students to come to the front to play the dialogue
