To talk about outdoor activities freely with partners. Teaching procedures: Step1 warm up 1.

Greet the students and show a picture to let them get some information about me. Step 2 lead in 1.

lead in the topic“kites”by showing two pictures of me. 2.

Talk about different kinds of kites. 3.

Read the famous Chinese poem together. Step3 Exercise A1 Ask Students to listen to the video and finish A1 on page75.

Step 4 A guessing game

Play a “guessing game” with students :give some profiles of great people and ask them to guess who he is.. Step 5 Exercise A2.A3

Finish A2 and ask students to read them as integral sentences Listen to the video again and ask students to finish A3. Step 6 Presentation and pair work 1 .Ask students to read A3once if we have enough time

2. Four students are as a group to retell what happened to kites in different times. Step 7 Speak up 1.Let students listen and watch the video and finish a table . 2.Talk about what we can do and what we can’t do in pairs. Step 8 Exercise

Do some exercise to check the new words,expressions and the sentence patterns we have learned in this class. Homework:

1. Talk about the history of kite with your friends. 2. Learn the important phrases and sentences by heart.
