Lesson 9 When Is It? 教材分析：

本课主要教学六个节日名称和对六个节日时间的问答对话。需要学生掌握的语言功能是：When is New Year’s Day?/the Spring Festival?/International Workers’

Day?/Children’s Day?/Teachers’

Day?/National Day?及时间的回答：It’s Jan. 1./in Jan. or Feb../May 1./Jun. 1./Sept. 10./Oct. 1..

本课内容很贴近学生的生活实际，因为在庆祝这些节日时，大多行业都会放一个小长假，爸爸妈妈也会带着孩子们外出旅游，有利于培养孩子们运用英语进行交际的能力。

课程是知识，是活动，是体验，也是语言的载体。根据本课特点我采用小组合作的教学法，通过多媒体PPT课件，逐个呈现课文内容，通过画面，视听加深节日印象和语言模仿能力使学生能准确的表达节日名称并能熟练问答节日时间。循序渐进的激发学生学习兴趣.拓展延伸让学生能学以致用，使学生在日常生活中对When is----？句型有更广范的应用，在体验中成长，在快乐中学习。

教学目标：

知识目标：能听懂会说六个节日名称和“几月几日”的表达。

技能目标：能灵活运用功能句型When is----？It’s----.进行自由问答对话。

情感目标：培养学生热爱祖国，热爱我们自己的传统节日，热爱劳动，尊师重教的优良品德。

教学重点：When is----？It’s ---.句型灵活熟练的应用。

教学难点：六个节日名称的准确发音和多种用“几月几日”回答问题法。

教学过程：

Learning the names of festivals.look at the pictures and say out the names of festivals。学习节日。看卡片，老师问：Which festival？指名举手同学回答：

New Year’s Day。领读，小组读，个别读。方法同上，教学其他节日。

Group work.Read the names of the festivals in your

own ways together ，then show us. 用自己喜欢的方式和组员一起练说节日名称.,再看看哪一组说的又快又好！

Studying the answers and sentencing.教学“几月几日”及其全句表述。老师范例两个句子，其他四个请学生表述并上前完成并能读出来，

Let’s play：两人一组玩“你这样说，我那样说”游戏.练习句子。

例句：A: New Year’s Day is Jan.the first. B:Jan. the first is New Year's Day. 6）

Say the other festivals what you know。学生先自由说然后屏显以下节日：
