Let the Ss prepare to sing the ABC song and have the Ss talk

about their favorite letters （课前）

Have the Ss to learn the new words before class.

Do some actions of several letters: M, I, S, S, L, I and let Ss guess which letters they are. Then draw a self-portrait and say hello to Ss:

1.The teacher stands in front of the classroom and greet Ss one by one 2. Then have the Ss greeted their classmates who are sitting around them. And then ask some Ss to show their greetings. 3. Hold pictures of Sam, Amy, Daming and Liling to greet Ss(write: “I’m...”on the blackboard) and practice. 4. Use their new English name to greet and introduce themselves in pairs, in line and do a competition.
