Warm up 1.

Play a game 【复习旧知】

If you see a picture or a word, do the action and read it. 如果你看到了一个图片或一个单词，请做动作并读出单词。

【设计意图】游戏中出现的都是三年级学过的一些标志，例如：Don’t shout. Don’t eat.等，通过复习这些标志，引出本课将要新学的标志，同时操练本课的重点句型。

2. Lead in PPT呈现刚才出现的禁止大叫的标志，T: Look at this, what does it mean? S: It means shout.（PPT呈现句型）

T: What about this one? S: Don’t shout. T: Also we call it “No shouting”. This is a public sign.（教师带读signs）

PPT呈现日常生活中出现的许多标识，T: There are many signs in our life, so today we’ll learn Unit5 Signs. Step2

T: Can you read them? 【预习检测】

教师引导学生观察单词的变化，指名学生读；组内互相读，请两组学生展示。

T: Look at these signs, we use “No+doing” to tell people can’t do these things. And this 修注栏

引导学生大声地说出单词，做出动作，参与到游戏中，集中他们的注意力。

此部分初步感知句型：What does it mean? It means…以及“No+doing”的形式。

Practice the sentences 【小组合作】

T: This time use the sentence “What sign is it? It’s … What does it mean? It means…” to ask and answer in groups. For example: …（教师示范第一个标志，然后学生在小组中以开火车的形式一问一答，最后请一组同学汇报）

Come to the story T: Wonderful! All of you did a great job! But where can we see these signs? S: In the…/At the…（根据学生的回答适时新授shopping centre）

T: Yes, we can see many signs in the park, meeting room, shopping center, restaurant and many public places. Today, Mike, Helen and Tim go to many places and see many signs, too. Let’s watch, where do they go? (1) Watch and find the places (2) Extensive reading and fill in the form 【自主探究】

T: They see many signs in these places. Can you find the signs in the story? Now read the story, first underline the meaning of the signs, then fill in the form. (3) Retell the form. 【小组合作】

Eg: At a shopping centre, they see the sign “Wet floor”. It means the floor is wet. (4) Intensive reading 学生自己精读课文，独立完成P50 Read and choose，组长批阅，全班核对答案。

T讲解第三题中的take… into ... 【设计意图】这篇课文的大意学生很好理解，所以在教学时，我将文本的新授分成了泛读和精读两部分，重在培养学生学会先从整体上把握文本大意，然后再精读把握细节，这样可以训练学生的阅读能力和技巧。

PPT呈现一些公共场所的照片，学生根据不同的情景创编对话。

泛读不需要学生大声朗读，可以快速浏览划出关键信息即可；而精读需要学生细致地阅读，重在理解文本的细节。

教师给出一些句型提示，引导学生运用以前学过的提建议的句子You should…

爱护公物，为学生提供更多的生活情景，让其练习本课所学的句型和标志，能够帮助他们将英语知识灵活地学以致用，让英语更贴近日常生活。
