Step 2 Presentation& Practice 1.

T waves hands to someone and calls his/ her name. T: What am I doing?猜猜我在做什么？

T：Good!(竖大拇指)。这个学期我是大家的新老师，新朋友。今天我们就来学习怎么用英语打招呼。

Teach “ Hello” and “ Hi”

Ss read after T. T asks them to read one by one and corrects their pronunciation. b.

Say hello to characters: Zoom, Zip, Sarah, Miss White, Wu Yifan, Chen Jie, Mike and John. c.

Try to say hello to your friends ( Some may say hello to T.

Miss White—Miss Liu.我们认识Miss White, 我姓刘，你们可以称呼我---Miss Liu) Say hello to Miss Liu. d.

Teach “Hi” as above. 注意i的开口度。

Say hello/ hi to each other. 适当加上挥手，握手或者拥抱等动作。

Self-introduction a.

“ I’m”,强调I 的开口度及m的发音，学生容易忽略m的发音并解释I’m 我是……

Make a self-introduction. 带上头套示范，T：Hello! I’m Chen Jie.

Ss do a role play to introduce themselves. E.g.

I’m Yu Xintong / Li Haoran……Ss can introduce himself/ herself to

one student or the class. Others need to respond “Hello!/ Hi!”

4.Let’s talk. Listen and imitate, then act in a group of 3。戴头饰进行角色扮演。

5. Let’s play （pair work）

S1: Hello, I’m……

S2：Hi, I’m……

Step3: Consolidation 1. Learn to sing the song: Hello! a.

Listen and answer: How many names did you hear? Who are they? b.

Listen again and sing together. c.

Change the names and sing for our own friends. 2. If there is much time left, T can teach the words: bye (bye-bye), goodbye. Step4 Classroom work Finish the listening part on the workbook Step5 Homework 1.
