I was a baby. Now I am a boy. I was short. Now I am tall. I was fat. Now I am thin. I liked milk. Now I like cola.

(1)Regular Verbs

want—wanted, watch--watched enjoy—enjoyed, play—played, like—liked (2) Irregular Verbs :

is—was, am—was, are—were, have—had, sit—sat, hear—heard, do—did, go—went

1) I am in Shanghai today. I was in Beijing yesterday. I am tall now. I like quiet music. I was short five years ago. I liked loud music. 2). Choose and fill in the blanks.

1) Qs: What day was it? Where were Kitty and Ben? What did Kitty want to do? Purpose 对话操练,复习上一课时中的主要内容。

前一单元的句型复习,为本课句型铺垫。

引入本课重点动词过去式变化规则以及讲解一般过去时的概念。

句型操练让学生进一步了解一般过去式。

带着问题学习课文,能更加深对课文的理解。

由一般现在时自然的过渡到一般过去时,并进行操练,加深了对过去时的印象。

几个字形意思比较相近的进行比较,能更好的理解掌握课文。

Pair work的训练对新授的内容进行检验。

回家作业,加强对对话内容和新句型的巩固和使用。
