一、教材分析

本课是外研版（三起）小学英语四年级下册第五模块第二课时。本课的教学内容是在上一课学习运用was和were描述过去事物的特征或状态的基础上，进一步学习运用was，were，wasn’t 和weren’t描述过去事物的特征或状态，对比过去和现在的不同。

二、学情分析

本课的教学对象是四年级的小学生，经过一年多的英语学***多数学生对英语有浓厚的兴趣，但有一小部分学生对学习英语存在惰性。所以教师本节课设计了多种多样的教学活动来调动学生参与英语学习的积极性，激发学生的探知欲。

三、教学目标

1、语言知识

⑴学生能运用She wasn’t tall then. They were young. They weren’t old then.这样的语句对比过去与现在的不同之处。

⑵学生能理解运用wasn’t=was not, weren’t=were not, clean, dirty.

2、语言技能

学生能听懂能说They were young. They weren’t old then.She wasn’t tall then. It wasn’t clean then.

3、情感态度

在小组活动中乐于参与、能与其他同学积极配合和合作，养成合作精

神和竞争意识，并能认识到随着自己慢慢长大，父母也在慢慢变老，意识到孝顺父母、关爱老人的重要性。

四、教学重难点

1、重点

学生能熟练运用was，were，wasn’t=was not ,weren’t=were not 谈论过去与现在的不同。

2、难点

理解中英文在谈论过去的事情和情况时be动词的变化。

单词卡片、录音机、课件、多媒体展台

六、教学过程：

Step 1. Warm- up and lead- in 1.

Greetings：“Good morning, boys and girls.”

T: Today you will have 5 challenges. No.1 is I say you say. No.2 is listen and answer. No.3 is read and circle. No.4 is talk and show. The last one is sing a song. Are you Ready?OK, let’s go! Step 2.Review Play some games and review.

1.Say a chant and do the actions Tall, tall, tall, I am tall.

4.Guessing game. PPT出示教师本人照片，和学生一起复习上课所学过的带有was和were句型，同时复习本课所涉及的一些形容词，为新课的教授做铺垫。

Learning Activity 1.

T: Please look at the picture. What’s this? It’s a butterfly. It’s very beautiful now.But was it beautiful then? Let’s have a look.

⑴Watch the CD-ROM and answer, then learn the new word “wasn’t”和“weren’t”.

PPT展图毛毛虫，引导学生说出was not ，were not，教师用单词卡片教授wasn’t=was not，weren’t=were not，教师示范读，并板书单词，学生跟读。

⑵Listen and repeat.

(复习第一单元的知识，自然过渡到活动一的学习，同时通过一个问题的提出，导出本课重点单词wasn’t 和weren't的学习) 3. Finish Activity 4. Learn to say the chant. 4.Text learning (1). Listen and fill in the blanks. （Act.2）

（让学生带着任务看动画，学习更有目的性，同时运用课文培养学生的听说读写能力）

利用原有习题对学生进行了拓展练习。让学生单独完成任务，找学生核对答案，给回答正确的小组加分。

先由教师示范描述自己过去和现在的变化，然后请学生分组描述自己的照片。
