课堂学案

INTRODUCTION: 赏读经典Pride and Prejudice《傲慢与偏见》全书第一句，观察句式，认识从句在写作中的重要性。

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.

Q1: Where was it taken from? It was taken from Jane Austen’s most famous work ___________________. As we can see in the sentence, the writer conveyed her thoughts through a complex clause. This shows us that clauses play an important part in a good writing.

Q2: What type of clause is used in this classic sentence? It is a noun clause.

Q3：We’ve already learned noun clauses. Can you tell me how many types of noun clauses there are? What are they?

There are 4 types of noun clauses in total; they are subject clauses(主从), object clauses(宾从）, predicative clauses（表从）,appositive clauses（同从）.
