Teaching objects Knowledge objects: students are able to master plural nouns: boys, girls, men, women and numbers from one to fifty as well as use the sentence “How many.. are there?” to enquiry quantity. Ability objects: students are able to use the key sentence structure in real situation. Emotional objects:
students can share information around us with classmates by using the key sentence structure. Key points:
students are capable of using the sentence”
How many__ are there” to ask quantity. Difficult points: students are able to use the sentence in real life. Teaching aids: pictures, ppt , worksheet Teaching procedure Step1: Warm up(5min) ①greeting ②count the numbers(dragon game) ③guess the number (teaching aim: This step can help students to review numbers and improve their interest in this class)
Step2: Presentation(10min)
①Invite one boy and one girl to stand up and tell students : This is a boy and This is a girl to lead out the word ”boy” and ”girl”. Then invite two boys and three girls to stand up to lead out plural form” boys” and ”girls”.
Then ask students ”How many boys/girls are there in Class One?”
and lead them to answer” There is /are___.” After that, draw out the topic by asking”
How many pupils are there?”
②show pictures about men in the room and women in the car to ask and answer using the sentence” How many men/women in____?”
(teaching aim: students can master the key words and sentences by using real objects and with the aid of pictures) Step3: Practice(8min) ①work in pairs
