Step 1 Greeting & Warm-up

1. Greeting (问候) 2. Free talk (自由对话) T: What’s the weather like today?

T: Do you like stories? Let’s enjoy a story about the frog in the well.

【设计意图】：通过问答，复习已学句型，为课外故事的阅读做好铺垫。

3. Outside reading(课外阅读)

Watch and answer Q: (1) At first ,the world is big or small for the frog?

(2) At last ,the world is big or small for the frog?

T: The world is very big for the frog and us, so the frog will travel .

【设计意图】：课外阅读的故事生动有趣，吸引学生注意力。通过青蛙去哪里旅行给学生留下悬念，顺利引出国家的介绍。并且以完成任务，青蛙才能爬出井底去旅行为主线，创设情境并和过程性评价方式相结合，激发学生学习的求知欲和兴趣。

4. Look and guess(看图猜一猜) T: Look at these pictures and guess which country will the frog go?

Today, we will learn a country, that is Australia. 【设计意图】：通过欣赏图片，引出新课，又给学生留下对于澳大利亚的初步印象。

T: You know a little about Australia. We will learn from Mike, Wang Bing, Liu Tao, and Yang Ling. In this class, we should know how to find out about Australia and what to find out about Australia. At last, I think you can be Australian tour guide. (新授find out) 【设计意图】：通过头脑风暴，鼓励学生自己说说已知的对于澳大利亚的了解，既锻炼了学生的口语，又激发学生学习积极性，并且呈现课堂将要完成的三个任务，帮助学生对于课堂将要实现的目标有清楚地认识。

2. Task one

(1).Read, match and say（看，匹配并且说）

Q: How will the students find out about this country? (教师给学生呈现一些图片和学习方法，学生首先阅读课文第一部分，然后完成匹配题目) Read and finish the mind map(阅读，完成思维导图) 【设计意图】：通过从文本信息中寻求答案，培养学生略读，把握关键信息的能力。

(2). Ask and answer(两人一组问答) S1: How will Mike find out Australia? S2: He will ask his e-friend in Australia.

S1: How will Wang Bing find out Australia? S2: He will ask Mr Green.

S1: How will Liu Tao find out Australia? S2: He will read about Australia on the Internet.

S1: How will Yang Ling find out Australia? S2: She will look for books and magazines.

【设计意图】：通过两人一组操练问答，既核对了答案，又操练了一般将来时关键句型的运用。

(3). Look and say (看思维导图，说一说) Group 1: Mike will ask his e-friend in Australia. Group 2: Wang Bing will ask Mr Green.

Group 3: Liu Tao will read about Australia on the Internet. Group 1、2、3: Yang Ling will look for books and magazines. T: I think reading about Australia on the Internet is direct and convenient. 【设计意图】：通过看思维导图，复述关键句型，再次巩固一般将来时的关键句型，任务难度有梯度，并且通过小组间竞赛，激发学生学习积极性。

3. Task two (1). Read and find(快速阅读p59) Q: What will Liu Tao find out about Australia? Ss: Animal、city and sport。

【设计意图】：通过快速阅读从文本信息中寻求答案，培养学生略读，概括关键词的能力。

(2) Read and find（仔细阅读p59文本，找到关键词和关键句）

S: There are some lovely animals in Australia. T: What are they? S: Kangaroos and koalas. (新授Kangaroos and Koalas，教师介绍Kangaroos and koalas)

T: How about the sport？which sentences did you underline? What is the game? S: Australian Football. (新授Australian Football) S: which picture is Australian Football?（教师介绍Australian Football和football的区别）

Enjoy a video about Australian Football. T: Australian Football is very exciting。

(新授Sydney) Enjoy some pictures about Sydney and Melbourne.(教师介绍悉尼和墨尔本) T: I think this country is beautiful. 【设计意图】：通过细节阅读分别从动物、体育、城市三个部分处理文本，培养学生细读的能力，在阅读过程中处理生词教学，拓展学生课外知识，并逐渐构建思维导图，为后面的拓展练习打好基础。

4. Write and talk(写和说) About

c. Read in roles 【设计意图】：通过跟读，更好地体会对话中语音语调的变化和感情的表达。各小组根据自己的实际水平选择不同的朗读方式，并和过程性评价相结合，激发学生朗读的积极性。

【设计意图】：在学生已经了解澳大利亚动物，体育，城市的基础上，教师介绍人，天气，地理位置等其他方面，拓展学生知识面，并为后面的拓展活动做好铺垫。

2. Show time

(小组活动) T: Now you can be Australia guide. (1). Work in groups of four.（四人一组）

(2). Each one introduces one aspect of Australia. （每一位组员介绍澳大利亚某一方面的内容。）

(3). You can add your own ideas. （可以拓展书本知识，把澳大利亚介绍得更好哦！）

【设计意图】：通过锻炼学生的口语能力，力求让每一个学生都融入到知识难点的学习中来，增强学生的参与意识。而完成了当小导游的任务，学生在习得知识的同时又体会到成功的喜悦。

3. Emotional education(情感教育) Enjoy some pictures T: The world is very big. We shouldn’t do just like the frog in the well. Read more！Travel more！Planning is the most important. 【设计意图】：通过欣赏一些图片，教育学生不要做井底之蛙。和课堂开始的课外阅读相呼应。并且对各组表现作出总结。

1. Try to introduce Australia to your family or friends. 2. Surf the Internet to find out about other countries.( For example, the UK/ the US) 【设计意图】：对本课学习的延伸，让学生对本课学习内容进行复习，并进一步激发学生了解世界的兴趣，拓展其知识面。
