Step I. Class Opening.

1.Greetings！

T: Hello, boys and girls.

Ss: Hello, teacher . T: How are you today? Ss: Fine,thanks. And you? T: I’m fine,thank you.

T: Can you tell me “How old are you?”(找其中一名学生提问) S1: I’m_____years old.

T:Can you tell me”How tall are you?”(问其中一名学生) S2: I’m_____meters tall.

T:How do you go to school? S3: By______.

(设计意图：课前师生亲切的交流可以拉近师生之间的距离，并为下面旧知的复习奠定基础。）

2.Review. 1) Show pictures of David. T:Ok.Boys and girls,please look here. Who is he? Ss:David. T:Yes.Guess, What is David’s job? how old is David?

Pre-reading activities 引出人物。

T:Boys and girls,we know David is tall. But there is a

girl, she is taller than David.

(用阴影的形式遮住Maddy)Do you know who is she? Ss:............ T:Maybe. T: Now,let’s have a look. Who is she? (将阴影除掉)Oh,she is a monster.(板书并教授monster利用不同的怪物的图片让学生理解)She is a girl. Her name is Maddy.

T:Maddy has a good friend. Do you know who is she? Ss:....... T: Let’s listen to the whole stroy and try to answer: （1）

What is the name of Maddy’s friend ?

T：Who knows the answers? Please hands up S：She is .....(一边回应学生一边展示答案) (设计意图：引导学生用听的方法尝试找出答案，同时也暗示学生这篇故事是在两个好朋友之间发生的) T: Do you want to know more things about Maddy and Anna?

S: Maddy is older. T:yes, what does Anna say ? who wants to say this like Anna? (模仿Anna 的口气) T：If you want to tell others (其他人) about your age（年龄），what will you say?
