Teaching Contents

This lesson is 1B UNIT 4 Health food Lesson24. Through classroom teaching, students can accept the input language in a relaxed atmosphere. Help students learn by doing and singing. Create situation to stimulate students' interest in learning.

Teaching Analysis

According to the composition of the course, combined with the characteristics of the primary students, design teaching centering around the students. Combine the words, sentences and conversation organically by conversation performances, singing, fun games to carry out teaching. So that stimulate students' thirst for knowledge and enrich the English class.

1.Ss can listen, say and read the words: chicken, egg, meat

2. Ss can listen and say the phrases: We have... What do you want?

I want some….I want ..., too.

3. Ss can finish the practice of “Listen and number”.

1. Ss can use the sentence patterns: We have... What do you want? I

want ….in real situation.

2. Ss can sing the song of “Let's sing”.

1. Ss can be interested in English learning.

2. Ss can have confidence in English speaking.

Teaching procedure

Step 1: Warm up & Revise

1.Greeting and free talk.

T: Hello! Boys and girls. /Nice to see you again / Are you happy?

Ss: Hello! / Nice to see you, too. / …

(Purpose: Closer the distance between T and Ss. To create a harmonious relationship between teachers and students and the atmosphere of English) 2. Magic eyes (PK)

PPT to present the picture/words of rice, fish, bread, water, tomatoes, a tomato, cucumber, a cucumber, apples, an apple…one by one, Ss say them in English quickly.

(Purpose: Revise the words tomato,cucumber…PK game aroused Ss’enthusiasm to speak English.)

3. Let’s sing (Lesson23)

(Purpose: Revise the sentences: What do you want? I want….base “Let’s sing”of Lesson 23 on and lead-in new lesson)

Step 2 Presentation & Practice

1.Free talk and use the scene picture on CAI to present chicken. (Purpose: Lead-in, create situation to promote Ss' interest)

2. Ss learn to read:chicken

a. Point the word on CAI, Ss repeat.

b. Use word card to teach reading “chicken”like this:

i,i,i,ch,i,chi,en,en,en,ck,en,cken,

chicken,Ss repeat, then try to read,at last read by boys/girls. (Purpose: Help Ss to read the word.)

c. Point the word on CAI, Ss repeat. Show the word card and have s read it one by one.

d. Put up the word card “chicken”on the board.

3. Let’s sing

T: Do you like chicken?...Let’s sing. Use CAI to present, Ss sing together . Then, have Ss sing without music and put up the cards of “What do you want? I want”on the board.

(Purpose: Practice chicken and the sentence, relax, promote Ss' interest in English learning.)

4. Ss learn to say”some chicken”,”I want some chicken”.

a. Show picture card of chicken: “What do you want?”Help Ss say”I want some chicken”.

(Purpose: Create situation to help Ss understand and say the phrases.) b. Show word card ”some chicken”and have Ss repeat, then Ss read it group by group.

c. Put up the word card “some chicken” .

5.Do a survey ”We have fish and chicken. What do you want?”

Show picture cards and have Ss ask “We have fish and chicken. What do you want?”together,S1/2/3/...: I want some chicken/fish.

(Purpose: Create situation to say the sentences.)

6.Use similar ways to learn and practice ”meat, some meat”“egg, an egg, eggs”

7. Free talk to lead-in and use CAI to present "Work in groups." Ss listen with two questions, then answer. At last, Ss read the sentence after CAI.

8. Role play

Give examples for Ss first, then Ss work in groups to role play, at last have several groups act in the front. (Purpose: Dialogue in a real situation and cultivate Ss’confidence in English speaking.)

Step 3 Consolidation & Extension

1. Listen and number: Use CAI to present, Ss listen and number. Then check Ss’answer.(Listening)

2. Game: What’s missing?

a. PPT to present the pictures of eggs, chicken, meat, an egg…Ss say the missing picture in English quickly.(Speaking)

b. Take away the word cards on the board one by one, Ss say the missing

card in English quickly.(Reading)

(Purpose: Consolidate the words and phrases: meat, chicken, eggs, an egg…from three levels: listening, speaking, reading.)

3.Go to restaurant: We have... What do you want?

Give an example, then Ss work in pairs, at last Ss act in the front. (Purpose: Use language in a real situation and cultivate Ss’confidence in English speaking.)

4.Summary: Restore the cards on the board, Ss read them one by one. Have Ss know we should eat more fruit and vegetables to keep healthy!

Step 4 Homework

1. Listen and read the words and sentences of page 54.

2. Act “Let’s sing”to parents.

3. Ask and answer”We have... What do you want? I want….”with parents.
