The design is for teaching Section B(1a-1d) of Unit 9,Year 9,Go for it! PEP (2013edition).It’s the fourth period of this unit. It is a listening and speaking class, which focus on the topic in a specific way. It is to expand and strengthen the target language of this unit into use. Such a topic is in connection with Ss’ daily life

,so it’s easy to arouse their interest in learning. Therefore I will use Situational Approach ,Communicative Approach and Task-based Teaching Method to encourage students to practice their ability to express preference and opinion about subjects: the proper adjectives, and what ,when, why sentences . Analysis of the students:

The students have learned English for some years .They understand some words and simple sentences. They are curious ,active and fond of game. And they have got some basic knowledge about school subjects ,which is easy to get into the topic in a deeper way.
