My First Ride on a Train Reading

Teaching targets: Knowledge and skills: 1. To help the students to improve the skills of reading and get the key information; 3. To help the students to know the writer’s feeling and attitude. Process and methods To encourage the students to read for different purposes; To help the students to understand the passage’s structure by mind map. Emotional attitude and value To develop the students’ love to the wonderful natural scenery; To help the students to be aware of being polite when they travel. Difficult and important points To master the reading skills; To retell the passage.

Teaching steps Step I: Lead-in: some pictures Step II: Reading 1.

1. Ask the students to read Para. 1 quickly and answer the questions. 2.

2. Ask the students to read Para. 2 & 3 quickly to grasp the writer’s travelling feeling. 3.

3. Ask the students to read Para. 4-6 quickly and answer the questions. Step III : Retell the passage according to the mind map. 1. 用图片引入主题; 调动课堂气氛

2.通过一步步完成任务，让学生逐步理解文章，抓住文本信息，理解作者情感态度。

3. 输入之后完成输出，训练说的能力。

Step IV: Discussion 4.对学生思维进Ask the students to discuss the reasons why most people like 行扩展。让学生traveling. 懂得文明出行。
