一、Teaching aims: 1、知识目标：

（1）能听、说、读、写单词：smell, strawberry, watermelon, grape, taste. （2）能运用句型：“Is it strawberry juice or watermelon juice? It’s …”来辨别物品的味道。

（3）能用形容词sweet和sour对食物的味道进行准确描述。

2、能力目标：

（1）通过摸一摸、闻一闻、尝一尝、猜一猜等游戏活动来描述物品的特征，从而学习新句型。

（2）通过对物品从视觉、嗅觉、触觉及味觉等方面进行描述，来学习物品的特征。

3、情感目标：

（1）培养积累运用的好习惯。

（2）积极、快乐地学英语，培养学习英语的兴趣和学好英语的信心。

二、Learning analysis: 四年级的学生通过三年级一年的学习，对英语学习初步培养起了兴趣和积极性，并建立了初步的英语学习习惯。这个年龄段的学生，其模仿能力强，敢于开口，喜欢新鲜事物，所以老师在教学过程中较容易调动学生的学习热情。但由于他们年龄小，好动，注意力容易分散，因此，教师就需要通过教学过程中的情景创设、灵活的内容编排、有趣的游戏设计等来保持学生的学习积极性，树立学生学习英语的自信心和意志力，巩固学生学习英语的基本习惯。

三、Key points: 1、四会单词的拼读及书写。

2、句型：“Is it strawberry juice or watermelon juice? It’s …”

四、Difficult points: Is it ... or ... ?的变化形式，如：

Are they biscuits or cakes?

（or连接名词复数）

Is it a thick book or a thin book? （or连接名词词组）

六、Teaching procedures: Step one: Warm-up (1) Greetings T: Good morning, boys and girls. Ss: Good morning, Mr Wang . T: How are you? Ss: I’m fine, thank you.

(2) Enjoy a song:“Apple tree”

Apple red, Apple round, Apple juicy, Apple sweet, Apple, apple, I love you. Apple sweet, I love to eat. Step two: Presentation

(1) Learn the new words a. T: Do you like this song? Ss: Yes, I do. T: I like the song too.

T: Apple is a kind of fruit. Look at the screen. What is it? Ss: It’s an apple. / a pear. / an orange. / a banana. / a lemon. T: Now let’s see the magic words. (change the positions of the letters“l”and“m”, put up a picture and teach“melon”) （把单词lemon交换字母“l”和“m”的位置，变成“melon”。借助图片使学生理解该词含义，即“瓜，甜瓜”。）

T: water + melon = watermelon 引出新单词watermelon。

T: I have two riddles. Please guess. It’s purple and small.

It’s red and small.

It’s soft and smooth.

It’s soft and rough.

It’s sweet or sour.

b. Practice:身体部位与感官动词

由教师说身体部位的词，学生对应说出其感官动词。

T: I say“eye”. S1: I say“see”. T: I say“hand”. S2: I say“touch”. T: I say“nose”. S3: I say“smell”. T: I say“tongue”.

S4: I say“taste”. (2) Learn the new sentences:“Is it ... or ...? It’s ...”

a.教师出示三杯果汁（橘子汁，草莓汁，西瓜汁），然后让学生猜一猜每一杯分别是什么果汁。

鼓励学生通过“一看，二闻，三尝”的方法来辨别每一种果汁。

T: Look at the glass of juice. It’s orange. What juice is it? S1: It’s orange juice. T: Yes. Look at the other glass of juice. It’s red. What juice is it? S2: Is it strawberry juice? T: Smell it. How does it smell? S2: It’s nice. T: Taste it. Is it strawberry juice or watermelon juice? S2: It’s sweet and sour. It’s strawberry juice. T: Yes, you’re right. T: This is watermelon juice. b. Finish the form

Juice orange juice strawberry juice watermelon juice (3) Practice 教师出示两种果汁，对其中一样进行描述，请学生猜猜老师说的是哪种果汁。

T: (show a glass of pear juice and a glass of grape juice) It’s sweet and white. Is it pear juice or grape juice? Colour orange red red Smell or Taste nice, sour nice, sweet and sour nice, sweet

S1: It’s pear juice. T: Is the watermelon big or small? (compare the watermelon with a grape) S2: It’s big. T: Is the book thick or thin? S3: It’s thick. 总结：以上这些句子都是选择疑问句。（选择疑问句是指提出两个或两个以上可能的答案供对方选择的句式。在选择疑问句中，or为连词，意为“还是”，用来连接两个或两个以上同等成分的词或词组。当备选对象为三个时，or放在最后一个备选对象前。其回答一般为一个完整的陈述句，主语和谓语可省略。）

c. Read the dialogue and repeat.
