一、教材分析

本单元是教材的最后一个单元，在整个教材中属于复习单元，第四模块的话题是the natural world，本单元划分为三个课时，第一课时为Listen and say,第二课时为Look and Read,第三课时为Love the Earth. 二、设计思路

通过地球的短片，引出本节课的话题，学习新词，然后以郭老师和学生讨论地球现状的文本，让学生听，听完之后，回答问题，然后提出问题，再听，小组合作，找出保护地球的措施，自然抒发想保护地球的想法，并提出相应的措施及建议。在此过程中复习情态动词should及stop doing短语连用的形式，同时复习be 动词的过去式。

三、Teaching Aims(教学目标): 1.能听、说、读、写本课的核心词汇：Earth, forest , ocean ,land, part, sick,rubbish. 2.能熟练掌握核心句型：

We should stop +doing. 3.通过学习，增强环保意识，提出环保建议。

四、Key points and difficult points (教学重难点)：

1.能在语境中运用本课的核心词汇和句型。

2.学生能运用核心句型交流看法。

五、Teaching Tools(教学用具)：

PPT,pictures 六、教学方法

1.情景教学法：以Ms Guo和学生讨论场景带入课堂，让学生产生一种真实学习体验。

2.合作教学法：学生小组合作分角色表演对话，互帮互助，共同进步。

七、Teaching Procedures(教学过程)：

StepⅠ.Warming up and lead in 1.Greeting. 2.Watch and say. T: Look! What is it? Ss: It’s the Earth. T:What can you see on the Earth? S1: I can see forests. S2: Oceans. Ss learn the new words:forest,land,ocean,part. Step Ⅱ.Presentation and practice 1. Listen and answer T:Ms Guo and her classmates are talking about the Earth.Listen to the dialogue and answer my questions. Ss listen and answer.

S1:The green parts are forests S2:The brown parts are land. S3:The blue parts are oceans. T: What’s wrong with the Earth now? Listen to this dialogue again and try to find the answer. S1: The Earth was clean, but now some parts are dirty. T: Yes.In the past,there were rivers,oceans, land and forests.The Earth was clean.In the past,there were many different plants and animals too.The Earth was beautiful. But now the Earth gets sick. 2.Read and answer T: Can we do anything to help the Earth? Read this dialogue and find the answer,then discuss in groups. Ss:We should stop throwing rubbish into rivers. We should stop cutting down so many trees. We should stop using plastic bags. 3.Read and follow. Step III.Consolidation 1.Say and act Act out the dialogues in groups. 2.Think and say Ss describe the Earth.
