Module 5 第一课时

教材分析:

本节课所讲内容为四年级下册（外研社三起）第五模块第一部分。学生将会学习be动词及其对应的过去式，以及这些动词和人称之间的对应关系，最后是怎样运用这些知识点描述过去和现在的变化。具体的如Amy在参观Lingling家的照片，用英语描述Lingling家人过去和现在的变化，头发长短的变化，个子高矮的变化，年轻年老的变化，动物由大到小的变化。 教学目标：

知识与技能：

学生能够运用was 和were来描述过去介绍自己或他人的过去的事情

通过对本课的学习，让学生在新旧生活中的对比中，更加珍惜现在的美好生活。

重点：学生对过去时态的把握，以及要掌握用“was，were”来描述过去某人的情况或特征

难点：Using the simple past tense of the irregular verb “be”

教学过程：

（一）导入：Warming-up

教师加手势与动作进行示范后学生进行展示，做到有声有色。

[设计意图]利用有韵律感的chant，既复习了与本课相关的旧知识，又调动了学生的积极性。

教师拿出自己现在的照片，自问自答。

Who is she? She is me. (学习单词who,me ) 教师出示自己小时候的照片，与现在的照片作对比。

Then（在那时）

I was 2. Now I am 26.

Then my hair（头发）was short. Now my hair is long. (学习新单词then,hair) 教师课件出示姚明小时候现在的照片继续训练新知。

Then he was short. Now he is tall.

Then he was fat. Now he is thin.

出示grandparents年轻时与现在的照片。

T: They are my grandparents. Then they were young. Now they are old. [设计意图]通过真实的照片呈现，增加了学生与教师间的亲近，激发了学生的情趣，学习新单词及句型变得生动有趣。

让学生在轻松的环境中运用人称与be动词的搭配。

小组讨论用was/is, were/are说句子。

多媒体出示图片，学生完成句子（现在与过去对比的图片）。

Text learning

1、Listen and answer Who is that little girl? How old was she then ?

Take out a photo of Lingling’s family. Then introduce it. “It’s old. Because she was four then.

e.g. “Who are they? They are my grandparents.”

Compare “now” and “then”. Then say the sentences.

Teach “hair” with pointing to Ss’ hair. Explain “Cute means very lovely”

Listen to the tape. Then repeat. Have the Ss act out the story in groups.
