Step 1 Warming up 1.
Greeting and free talks 2.
Practice: there is /are T: Look at this picture; we can see many things, school bags, desks, chairs, windows….. Can you use there is/are to describe? For example, there are many school bags. Ss: There is a clock. There are tables. There is a board and a clock.
Step 2 Presentation Classroom T: Look, there are many students, can you tell me where they are? Ss: Classroom.
T:In a place, there are many classrooms; can you guess where it is? Yes, it is school. (粘贴标题). Today, we are going to learn Unit 4 School T: Look at our school, are there many classrooms?
Ss: Yes. T; Now, who can ask?
T: Today, our friend, Toby, is coming to our school, let us say hello to Toby. Toby: Hello, everyone.
T: Let us say welcome to our school!
T: Let us start our school tour and show Toby our school. There are four places we can go. Which one do you want to go first?
Canteen No. 3: What are they doing? They are so happy. Yes, they are having lunch. Where are they? Canteen, who can try? Is there a canteen in our school?
library T: Ok, the first place is canteen. What is the next? Which no.? No. xx(library). There are many books. Where is it? Yes, library. Is there a library in our school? Can you ask?
computer room T: Now, we showed canteen and library to Toby. What is the third place? No. xx(computer room). Do you know what this is? Where are they? Yes, it is a computer room? Are there any computer rooms in our school? Yeah, there are two computer rooms in our school.
T:in our school,there are some functional rooms. Do you know? Here are 3 pictures. Look carefully. What’s this room?
Ss: music room. dancing room. art room. playground T: Toby wants to go to play now, let’s go to No. 4! No. xx(playground). Ah, it is a wonderful place. It is a playground, We can run, play basketball, Ping-Pong on it. Is there a playground in our school? Yes! T: oh, it’s raining now.
gym T: T: oh, it’s raining now. Toby asks is there a gym in our school. Do you know gym? Look, this is a gym and there are many students in the gym. Is there a gym at the school? No, our school isn’t big, there is no gym in our school.
Step 3 Practice and consolidation T: School tour is done and Toby is very happy. He says “how cool!”
