3.能听懂、读懂有关动物信息的短文,完成练习。

Teaching

procedures:

Step1.Warming up

1. Greetings

2. Listen and sing a song(six little ducks) Step2. Presentation

1.I can see. let’s go to the zoo.What can you see? Teacher shows some pictures of animals on the screen.Students answer I can see…

2.I can guess. Guess what animals they are according to part of the animals. Sentences:

What animal is it? It is…

Step3.Listen read and guess. 1.

Teacher reads the sentences:

It has got four legs.

It lives in Africa and Asia. It eats grass.

It lives on a farm.

It gives us milk.

It eats others animals.

Its fur is white.

It lives in the Arctic.

People ride it.

Ask students to repeat sentence by sentence.

2.Close the books. Students listen to the tape carefully and guess what animal it is.

3.Open the books and turn to page 38 .Students listen to the tape and repeat.

4.Ask students to complete the task individually then check the answers.

Step 4.I can say. Students describe animals by using the sentences: It has got…

It eats…

It lives…

Step 5. I can write. Let students fill in the blanks. And check the answers. Step 6. Presentation 1.Let the students understand the sentences( It’s

smaller than a tiger./It’s smaller than a sheep.)by showing the pictures. 2. Students listen to the tape carefully and guess what animal it is. Ask students to repeat sentence by sentence.Ask students to read through the sentences so that they can know how to describe the animals.

Step7. Game

1.Play the guessing game by using the sentences.
