Are You Short or Tall ?

教学目标

知识目标:四会单词:tall, metre; 句型:how tall are you ? I’m .....metres tall . 能力目标:能运用对身高提问和作答的句型进行实际交际,培养解决实际问题的能力。

情感目标:激发学生的求知欲望,创设必要的情境,让学生参与其中,更能激发他们的兴趣和学习热情。

教学设计

Step 1 : Greeting T: Good morning ,class!

Ss: Good morning , teacher ! T: Nice to meet you ! Ss:Nice to meet you too !

Step 2 : Introduce yourself T: Who can introduce yourself simplify ?

S1:Hello, my name is Li Ming, I am a boy . I am a pupil .My birthday is December seventeenth . T: Well done . Who want to try again?

S2:Hello, my name is Chang rui rui, I am a girl. I am a pupil .My birthday is October eighth . T: Excellent ! Step 3 : presentation 1.

Show the Giraffe and the panda on screen . teacher ask students to compare who is tall and who is short . S1:the Giraffe is tall and the panda is short . 2.

Show the picture of “Yao Ming” and a baby , teacher ask students to compare who is tall and who is short . S2:Yao Ming is tall and the baby is short . T: Wonderful job, very well . Then, teacher stands in front of the ruler ,says “I’m 1.6 metres tall”. Teacher asks one student to sand in front of the ruler, other students say how tall is he /she ? Ss : he is 1.7 metres tall, she is 1.5 metres tall .

Learn sentences

(1) How tall are you? Ask some students to stand in front of the ruler . T: I’m 1.6 meters tall.

How tall are you? S1:I’m 1.4 meters tall. S2:I’m 1.35 meters tall. S3:I’m 1.26 meters tall. Teacher points at the last student and says “I’m 1.4 meters tall. He is 1.35 meters tall. I’m tall , he is short ,right ?”

Ss : Yes . (2)

Practice sentences with your partners. How tall are you? I’m

Step 4: conclusion

我用am, 你用are;is 用在他、她、它; 遇到复数全用are, 一个人名用什么,is is is 啊!
