Step 1 Lead-in 1.Play a guessing game to introduce fire .

2.Free talk

Ask Ss to talk about what we should do if there is a fire 3.

Show some pictures to let students know what to do when we meet fire. 4.

Read the new words and finish part B1 【设计意图：通过图片导入新课，吸引学生学习兴趣；以猜谜的形式目的是引出本课话题，让学生们了解火，并知道发生火灾时怎么做，读完单词马上完成单词释义练习，趁热打铁，并且为下面的教学环节节省时间。

Step 2 Presentation 1. Fast reading. Listen and read the passage quickly, and answer the questions. (1). When did the fire happened? (2).Who was in the kitchen? (3).What happened to Lin Tao after the fire?2. Detail reading. (1)Read the para1-2 and finish the exercises.
