1.Sing a song

The teacher plays the tape about “Let’s chant”, students chant together and clap their hands.

Ss review words and sentences that they have learnt.

3.Warm-up&presentation

(1)Free talk

(2)Beautiful

T shows a picture of “Fan Bingbing”and asks “Who’s that woman?”

Ss: She is…

Ss read these words and sentences follow the teacher.

(3)How beautiful!

a.Ss look at these pictures about elephant and use a sentence to describe it. (“How big!”)

b.Then the teacher instructs Ss to say the sentence “How

beautiful.”

c.The teacher teaches this sentence and Ss read follow.

d.Finally, the teacher shows some beautiful pictures to practise this sentence.

(4)The teacher shows the pictures of main scene on the book and Ss say something about them.

4.Practice&consolidation

(1)Ss open their books and read this dialogue by themselves.

(2)Ss listen to the tape and read after the tape.

(3)Ss have a role-play to read this dialogue.

(4)Ss three a group to read this dialogue and the teacher corrects their

mistakes about their pronunciation.
