教学目标: 1．能听懂、会读、会说单词、短语could，use, telephone, office, mobile phone, anywhere，radio, newpaper, news, e-book, e-friend, then and now, make friends, all over the world, do shopping，并能运用于语句中。

2. 能听懂、会读、会说句型：…ago, he/she…

3. 能正确理解并朗读课文，复述课文。

4. 通过对比Mike一家人过去和现在的学习、工作和生活等方面，让学生感受科技如何改变生活。

Now he/she…，并能比较和运用一般过去时与一般现在。

教学过程：

Step 1. Warming up 1.You and me. T: Today I’m your new English teacher, do you want to know something about me? Let’s talk about you and me, OK? I’m the first. Twenty years ago, I was a student, just like you. But now I am a teacher. Ten years ago, I could not speak English. But now I can speak English. Five years ago, I could ride a motorbike, but now I can drive a car. So much for this about me, who can be the first to introduce yourself？

Key sentences:… years ago, I could/ couldn’t … Now I can …

2. Read and judge. Here is a passage ,please read and judge. 3. Then and now T: We are growing up, and the things around us are changing. Today we’ll talk about the changes: Then and now. (揭示课题) Let’s read. And this lesson, we’ll know more about the changes of Mike’s family.

Step2. While-reading

1.Who are they?

T: Who are they in the story?

S: Mike, Mr Brown, Grandpa and Mrs Brown 2.Expert reading

T: Boys and girls, let’s start reading. Take the envelopes on the desk. First, read the passage, stick the right pictures, underline the verb phrases , circle the new words you can’t read. (PPT：1.自主阅读语段，粘贴对应人物的图片。2.在文中用横线画出相应的活动词组，圈出不会读的生词。)

T: Have you finished, dear children? This time let's work in groups. First check the answers, then read the passage fluently. If you don't know the word, try to read. (PPT：小组合作，校对答案。再读段落，要求读通顺，不会的单词进行试读。)

3. Group reading T: Boys and girls, you all did a good job, let’s make a new group, all the No.1 is a group, all the No.2/No.3/No.4 are the other groups. Go.

(PPT: 所有的1号组成一组，所有的2号组成一组，所有的3号组成一组，所有的4号组成一组。)

T: OK, new group work together now. One group member reads the own passage, the others listen carefully and stick the pictures. Everyone reads twice, first slowly, then normally. When you meet the new words you can’t read, you can read “zhi” instead , and use some body languages. Don’t show the passages to the members. (PPT: 1. 组内成员依次朗读自己之前所读的段落，其他组员认真聆听，并完成相应人物的贴图。2. 每人读两遍，第一遍慢速，第二遍中速。3. 遇到不会读的词请用拉长音zhi表达，同时加上肢体动作。4. 阅读时不可以将阅读材料给同伴看。) T: Every one checks the others’

answers. Then read the story time together, try to understand the new words, you can guess with the pictures.

(PPT:1. 小组内核对答案。2.小组合作读通顺四个段落，理解生词，可以根据图片进行猜测。) 4.Read and learn Mike:

T: Now let’s share your reading and understanding. What could Mike do six years ago?（读could）What couldn’t he do? Guess: What can he do now?（板书:贴could read and draw、couldn’t write、踢球）

Listen and repeat. T: Can you describe little Mike six years ago and young Mike now?

总结：In fact, everyone is changing everyday( the changes of people), What they look like is changing(appearance) , and what they can do is changing, too(ability).

(PPT: Everyone is changing everyday.)

Mr Brown: T: Look at Mr Brown. This is Mr Brown twenty years ago. And this is Mr Brown now. What did he do then and what does he do now?

(教学wrote … to…, use, telephone, office, mobile phone, anywhere)

T: Let’s imagine: Where did he write letters/ use the telephone/ write e-mails/ use the mobile phone? （板书:贴wrote信、used电话、use手机、write邮件）T: They are needed when we want to contact others, they are the communicate tools. Which one do you like? Why? (PPT：I like…Because I use…to… Convenient, fast, anywhere, anytime…) Read after the tape.(重点读第二句，断句要正确) （PPT: Then and now, the way to contact people is changing .）

Grangpa：

T: And besides these, the way to get news is changing now.

How did Mike’s grandpa get news thirty years ago? How about now? (教学radio, read(/red/与read原形比较), newspaper, read and watch news, e-book) （板书: listened to收音机for news、read/e/报纸、read,watch news上网、read电子书）

Listen and repeat. Mrs Brown: T: Look at the woman, Who can told us what changes have happened on her? T: Twenty years ago, she was a schoolgirl. Where did she make friends? And where did she buy things? And now? Maybe she does shopping or chats with her e-friends on the Interenet. Guess: What does she buy? (教学make friends(made), bought, e-friends, all over the world) （板书:贴made friends教室、bought…from商店、网友all over the world、do shopping淘宝）

Listen and repeat. Step3. Post-reading 1. Retell the story T: Boys and girls, look at the fishbone diagram, can you describe the changes about Mike’s family? 2. Share your change T: Well done. Now it’s your turn to talk about your changes, first fill in the fishbone diagram, then share it with your groupmates.

E-time

T: Mike’s grandpa reads e-books.Mr Brown writes emails. Mrs Brown has e-friends from all over the world. E-time is around us, it is in our family, It makes our life happier. It is in our school. It helps us to study more and faster. It is in our city. It makes our life convenient and effective. Let’s enjoy our e-time. Step4 Homework 1. Read the passage correctly and more fluently. 2.
