Step 1:Warm-up:

1．Let’ s sing：《My Small Bedroom》

T: Hello boys and girls.

Ss: Hello Miss Yin.

T: How are you today?

Ss: Fine, thank you.

T: Let’s sing a song. OK?

Ss: OK!

【设计意图】这首英语歌曲节奏欢快，歌词朗朗上口。在营造了轻快的英语氛围的同时复习了There be句型。

2.T: Boys and girls, look at the small bedroom. Wow, it’s nice!

What’s in the bedroom?

S1: There is a bed in the bedroom.

S2: There is a closet in the bedroom.

S3: There is a mirror in the bedroom.

S4: There are two end tables in the bedroom.

S5:There are blue curtains in the bedroom.

S6: There is a picture in the bedroom.

【设计意图】通过对Small bedroom的描述，系统的复习了There be句型，为新课的学习做了铺垫。

Step 2: Presentation

1.当学生说到There is a picture in the bedroom.时，教师点击图画，图画由小变大。

T: It's a nature park. (教读nature park)

There are many nature parks in our country, such as Jiuzhai Valley, Guilin, Yellow Mountain and so on.(配图片)

I like Jiuzhai Valley best. Do you want to know something about Jiuzhai Valley? OK, now let’s go and have a look. What can you see in Jiuzhai Valley?

【设计意图】创设情境，导入文本，整体感知语言。使学生在真实的语境中感知语言，激发学习兴趣，体现语言学习整体性。

T: What can you see in Jiuzhai Valley?

S: I can see the sky in Jiuzhai Valley.

(师点击课件，教读sky)

T: What colour is the sky?

S: The sky is blue.

(教授单词cloud, grass, flower, mountain, forest。)

Cloud(s): What can you see in Jiuzhai Valley?—What colour are the clouds?

—The clouds are white.

Grass: What can you see in Jiuzhai Valley?—What colour is the grass?

—There is green grass.

Flower(s): What can you see in Jiuzhai Valley?—What colour are the flowers?

—There are many colourful flowes.

Mountain(s): What can you see in Jiuzhai Valley?—There are many mountains.

Forest: What can you see in Jiuzhai Valley?—There is a big forest.

【设计意图】提出问题，解决问题，在语篇中呈现和学习新知。学习新授单词，体现了“词不离句，句不离篇，篇不离境”的教学理念。

2. Let’s find out.

T: Boys and girls,compare picture A and picture B. What differences can you find?（出示两幅图）

S1: There is a forest in picture A. There isn’t a forest in picture B.

T: OK! Let’s say together.

T: I will give you five seconds. Are you ready? (师倒数5秒，两幅图消失。)

S2: There is a mountain in picture A. There isn’t a mountin in picture B.

S3: There is green grass in picture A. There isn’t green grass in picture B.

S4: There is a flower in picture A. There isn’t a flower in picture B.

【设计意图】游戏环节是学生所喜爱的，但五年级作为中高年级，不再适合简单机械的单个单词的输出练习，应该进行在句型中输出单词的练习。“找不同”就是一个有句子支撑的有效操练单词的游戏，将机械操练向意义操练不断延伸，使学生能更恰当地使用所学语言。

3. Read the second paragraph and answer the question

T: You did a good job. Let’s say the second paragraph. I have a question.

“What can you do in Jiuzhai Valley?”

T: Please read the paragraph and underline the sentences.

T checks the answers and learn the new words.

S1: We can run on the grass.

S2: We can walk on the path.(教读path)

S3:We can fish near the river.(教读river)

S4:We can row a boat in the lake. (教读lake)

4.Let’s chant

【设计意图】细读语篇，进一步理解语言。在阅读理解中感知新授单词，并突破难点句型We can…利用欢快的节奏和朗朗上口的chant不断感染学生，进而巩固所学。

Step3: Practice

1. Listen and repeat.

T: Boys and girls, let’s listen and repeat.

2. Read the passage and fill in the blanks.

There is a big ____________ and many ___________ in Jiuzhai Valley.

We can run on the _________.

(完成填空后，师生伴随音乐有感情的齐读句子。)

【设计意图】巩固语言，由听、说、读过渡到写的训练，由关注整体过渡到关注细节。根据《英语课程标准》的相关要求，五年级应该在引领学生听说的同时，注重读写能力的培养。填空练习帮助学生系统地巩固了9个新授单词，很好地达成了这一目标。

Step4：Extension

T: Jiuzhai Valley is a beautful nature park. In Jinan, there are many nature parks, too. Now let’s have a look.

(播放视频:Daming Lake, Qianfo Mountain, Forest Park)

T: Welcome to Daming Lake. The sky is blue. The clouds are white. There is ….

Choose one place you like and introduce it.

T: Who wants to have a try?

T: Nature can provide green grass and colourful flowers for us. It can provide fresh air and nice environment for us. So let’s love the nature, protect the nature.
