教学内容:六年级上册Module 2 Unit 5 Animals in danger Period 1 教材分析:本单元的标题“Animals in danger”内容涉及濒危动物的数量及目前生存状况。要求学生能就所学语言用一般过去时描述某种濒危动物过去的数量和目前的生存状况,并能给出保护动物的建议。
学情分析:六年级学生已掌握了一定的英语语言知识,初步形成了一定的听说读写的能力,学习策略也得到了不同程度的发展,但是这也无形中拉开了学生之间的差异。在设计本节课时,我努力做到面向全体,力图从学生认知规律、心理特点与生活经验出发,主要运用了听说法,直观教学法,情景教学法等,帮助学生在视,听,说,读,唱,演等有趣的活动中,自主愉快地学习英语,发展能力,让学生有一个展示自己的舞台,体验到学习的快乐。
教学目标:
1、知识与技能:
(1)能认读、理解和掌握核心词汇: hundred,thousand,in the wild,in the past,in danger;
(2)能运用句型In the past, there were…,but now there are….描述濒危动物的数量并提出一些保护动物的办法和建议。
(3)能在情境中运用所学词汇句型交流信息,掌握一些英语阅读方法。
2、过程与方法:
(1)通过再构文本和自主观察和思考,帮助学生了解动物濒临危险,以及如何保护这些濒危动物。
(2)在创设的贴近生活的语境中,通过模仿、举例、对比、小组合作等多种方法,对知识与技能目标中的内容进行学习,并及时的获得积极的评价。
3、情感态度与价值观:
(1)学生能通过学习和练习,产生对动物的热爱和保护之情。
(2)学生能在生活中敢于开口说英语,在和同伴交流中体现出合作精神、学习英语的兴趣及乐于帮助他人的品质。
(3)学生能在教学活动的引导下,培养灵活解决问题的能力。
教学重点:
通过Listen and say中关于濒危动物数量的描述,帮助学生掌握句型In the past, there were …,but now there are …
in the wild. 教学难点:能在情境中运用本单元所学词汇句型交流信息。
教具准备:课件、卡片,任务单。
教学过程:
I. Pre-task preparations(激情导课)
1. Brainstorms: what animals can you see? Show some endangered animals quickly. Let the students speak out animals in the slides. T: Watch carefully and tell me what animals you see. Ss: Africa elephant, rhino, lion, bear, wolf, blue whale…
2.导入课题:
T: In the past, there were many these animals. But now these animals are in danger. Today, let’s learn unit 5 Animals in danger. 3.明确目标:
Today we’ll talking about the animals in danger! 4.预期效果:
Most of the students are enjoy this topic, I hope we can learn it very well. II. While-task procedures(民主导学) 1.
Talk about Simba to learn the new words. 1)
Free talk: Why is Simba sad? T: Look at his tears. Why is he sad? Let’s guess. Ss: May be he is hungry/thirsty/lost…
T: Let’s see what he said. 2)
New words.
Show the reconstruct text.
I’m Lion King, Simba.
I live in the wild.
In the past, there were 500,000 lions in a pride of lions(狮群), but now there are only about 50 lions . I’m so sad! Save us!
The students find out the new words and ask.

Understand the meaning of ‘in the past’ by the opposite of ‘now’, and give some examples. c.
How to read 500,000
Learn the number of thousand. d.
Through understanding the lion's sad cause, understand the meaning of ‘in danger’. 2.
Learn the article.(任务呈现)
a. Watch a video
to speak three animals in the article. T: In the wild, are there only lions in danger? Let’s watch a video. Ss: (Watch carefully.) T: speak three animals in the article. Ss: pandas, South China tigers and blue whales. b. Listen and fill in the form.(自主学习)
T: When you listen to the first time, complete the form. When you listen to the second time, repeat the text. After listening, check the form. The teacher asks: How many pandas /South China tigers/blue whales were/are there in the past/now? The students answer: There were/are…. c. Core sentence patterns. T: Just now, we always speak a sentence. It’s a key sentence: In the past, there were many…, but now there are….
d. Look at the blackboard, retell the article.(展示交流)
After retelling the article, emphasize the phrase of in danger. III. Post-task activities 任务呈现:
Show a form about more animals in danger. 自主学习:
1. Group work: Talk about the animals in danger.
T: Yesterday, I surfed on the internet, got more information about animals in danger. List here. Can you talk about them?
a. First, try to talk about them by yourselves.
b. Talk about them in your group with your questions.
c. The group helps another group.
