We lived in a small house.

一、教学目标

1. 在课文插图的帮助下,通过学习课文,90%的学生能运用句型There were/ weren’t ……many years ago.描述过去。There are ……now. 描述现在。

2. 通过小组合作学习,100%的学生敢于开口,有兴趣对比描述过去与现在。

3. 通过合作学习,100%的学生乐于与他人进行交流,表明自己对某事物的看法。

二、教学重点和难点

教学重、难点:熟练运用所学句型There were/ weren’t ……many years ago. There are ……now. 描述现在生活与过去生活的不同。

三、教学方法:任务教学法、情境教学法、自然拼读法。

四、教学准备:

教师准备:课本、PPT课件等。

学生准备:课前与家人交流中国几十年的发展与变化。

五、教学过程

Step1. Warm-up

教师热情地和学生打招呼,欢迎学生假期归来,学生之间互相问好。教师可以问学生:“Did you have a good time in your holidays? Where did you go in your holidays ? 学生主动跟教师交流,教师可以帮助学生回顾相关的语言知识,例如:一般过去时的用法、常用词汇等,为后面的教学做铺垫。

[设计意图]

通过师生间的相互问候,拉近与学生的距离。交流学生假期的情况,创设轻松愉快的英语氛围,使学生尽快进入英语学习状态。

Step2. Presentation

1.热身活动后,教师告诉学生:“After the winner holiday, you have also a lot of changes. Now you are taller, older and more clever. Today we’ll learn Module1 unit1 We lived in a small house. Are you ready? Let’s go! Look at the screen. There are two faces. One face is crying, the other face is smiling. It’s a change. 教师边说边出示卡片“change”,告诉学生这就是第一模块的主题,再出示一组今昔对比照片,告诉学生们,It’s a change, too.同时也是我们

生活中一个永恒的主题:”Everything is changing. Life is changing, too.” (出示卡片life, 利用卡片自然拼读学单词)

2.玩游戏,复习这单元必备的一些动词的过去式:

Is-was are-were do-did get-got

live-lived play-played watch-watched

通过讨论学生的变化,从而引出了本课主题change,导入课文,让学生了解到Everything is changing。

Step3. Make a comparision.

This is a picture many years ago. (出示卡片ago, 利用卡片自然拼读学单词)

Many years ago, there weren’t

And this is a picture now. Now let’s look at the screen.

然后依次再出示两组照片,让学生们进行比较并填空。

[设计意图]

通过学生的比较,进一步熟悉一般过去时和一般现在时的区别。

Step4. Text

Everything is changing. You are changing. I am changing. Our motherland, China is changing, too.

1. Now it’s the story time. Let’s watch a programme about the changes in China. Are you ready?(自由读两遍)

2. T: Look at the picture. Who are they? (大屏幕呈现课本的图片) What are they doing?

T: They are Daming and Amy. They are watching TV.

Now let’s listen and answer.

Who are talking on TV ?

What are they talking about on TV?

What kind of things did they mention? ((整体听2遍课文,听的同时可进行跟读。)

Ss: An old lady and interviewer.(学习新单词lady 和interviewer)

Ss: They are talking about life.

Ss: house, food, buses and cars, television.

3.T: Listen the tape again and think about two questions. (齐读课文两遍,并纠正发音。) “How was life many years ago ?

How is it now?”

4.T: Read the text in roles.

分组展示成果,并作出相应的积极的评价,带动学生的积极性。

[设计意图]

通过讲故事的方式来学习课文,这种方式很受学生喜欢。通过先看课文图片、描述图片、针对图片提出问题、听课文回答问题、模仿读课文等,一步步的进入课文并理解课文,环环相扣并突破课文中的难点,突出重点。在学习中注重让学生与同伴合作互助学习,完成对课文的朗读与理解,培养学生的团结意识,并使其领悟到合作精神的重要性。

Step5. Practice

T: Boys and girls, Now a task for you. Talk about the changes of your hometown in groups. You can use the following sentences.

Ss: OK!

Many years ago, there wasn’t/weren’t……

I/My parents lived in ……

I/My parents didn’t have……

Now, there is/are……

I/My parents live/lives in ……

I/My parents have/has ……

让学生自主使用学过的句子会进行简单的对话,并可以描述周围事物的变化,增强学生的口语交际能力。

Step6. Homework

T: Boys and girls, we have a happy life now. We should thank our country. We should love our country, our family and our friends.

Here’s homework for you.

1.Listen to the tape and read the text 5 times.

2. Ask and answer with your parents:

How was life many years ago ?

How is it now?
