一·教学目标:
1·知识目标:
(1)学生掌握几种常见的交通方式:by bus ,by bike , by car ,on foot ,walk .
(2)学生掌握本课重点词汇和短语:walk , go to school ,foot (复数feet) ,on foot ,by , by bike , by bus ,by car ,ride a bike ,near , far from .
(3)学会常用句型:Do you walk to school ? How do you go to school ? I go to school on foot / by bike / by car / by bus . I live near / far from the school .
2·能力目标:
学生能够根据所学的交通方式词组和句型,进行相关话题交流。
3·情感目标:
激发学生学英语的兴趣,培养学生听·说·读·写综合语言运用能力。
二·教学重难点:
重点:学生掌握本课重点词汇有walk , go to school ,foot (复数feet) ,on foot ,by , by bike , by bus ,by car ,ride a bike ,near , far from
难点:学生会使用下列句子Do you walk to school ? How do you go to school ? I go to school on foot / by bike / by car / by bus . I live near / far from the school 。

Step 1、 Warming up and review:
T : Good morning class !
S : Good morning teacher !
T : This class we are going to learn Lesson 16 How Do You Go To School ?At first , we have a revision . Show the pictures and ask the studends:
What′s this ?
Studends answerw :
It ′s a bike / bus / car .
Studends spell and write “bike ,bus .car”
Step 2 、Present:
1·Learn the new words:
(1)foot
Show the picture and teacher the word “foot”(pl. feet ) ,point “oo”/u:/ “ee”/i:/.Studends read .spell and write “foot”“feet”.
Show the phrase “on foot”,and ask studends to make up setences using “on foot”.
(2)by
Show “by”,teach the word “by”and phrases “by bike” ,“by bus”,“by car”,then use them to make up setences .
2·Learn the new setences:
Teacher says :I live far from the school,so I go to school on foot .Explain “so” and “far from”.Ask the student :How do you go to school ?
Student 1 answer:I go to school by bus .
Teacher ask :Why do you go to school by bus? Student 1 answer:I live far from the school. Show the dialogue on the blackboard:
A :How do you go to school ?
B :I go to school on foot .
A : Why do you go to school on foot ?
B : I live near the school .
Get the students read the dialogue ,then read
together ,in team , in pairs.
Ask the studends to make up the similler dialogues ,and act out .
3·Learn Part 1 Do you walk to school ?
Ask students to read Part 1 twice ,then the teacher explain the sentence “My dad drives me .”and “so”. Students read Part 1 again and again ,then ask two team to act it out in front of the class .
Step 3、 Practice:
(1)Students read the text again and find the important pharses ,then the teacher show the phrases : 去学校
离学校近
离······远
步行去学校
乘公共汽车去学校
乘小汽车去学校
骑自行车去学
Ask students to say them in English ,then read aloud twice together .
(2)Students read the text again and find out the important sentences ,say each other .At last ,the teacher
show them to students:
How do you go to school ?
I go to school on foot .
=I walk to school.
I go to school by bike .
=I ride my bike to school.
I go to school by car .
=I take a car to school .
I go to school by bus
=I take a bus to school .
Students read the sentences and recite them . Step 4、 Let′s chant!
Students read aloud and notice important words and sentences .
Step 5、 Homework :
Do Ex in Part 3.
Step 6 Conclution :
