Unit 1 A parade day Reading and writing 教学设计

一.教学目标

1. Students are able to read and comprehend the passage by themselves. 2. Students are able to say something about the parade they watched. 3. Students are able to use the words and the sentence structures they have learnt of this unit. 4. Students are able to say something about the parade they watched.

五.教学过程: Step 1 Pre-reading

1. Play a game. --- Look at the pictures and read the words loudly.

2. Free talk: What did you do last weekend?

T: I had a good time last weekend. I went to Guangzhou. I saw many interesting things. And I took lots of photos. How about you? What did you do last weekend?

Step 2 While-reading

1. Lead in.

Introduce a new friend : Xiaoming.

T: Xiaoming had a good time last weekend. What did he do? Let’s guess. (Ask Ss to guess what Xiaoming did last weekend.)

2.Let Ss listen to the tape and answer the question: What did Xiaoming do last weekend? rd

3. Read the 3 paragraph and fill in the blanks.

What did the people do in the parade? Some people _____________. Some __________. Some __________. ththth

4. Read the 5, 6

and 7

paragraphs and circle the names of the cartoon characters Xiaoming saw.

5. Read the three paragraphs again and find out what the Disney characters did in the parade. Do the exercise on page 13.

6. Check the answer. Watch the video and learn the new phrases: drove a big airship, said hello to people, smiled and waved hands, moved slowly.

7. Have Ss look at the blackboard and try to retell what Xiaoming saw in the great parade. 8. Read the whole passage and do the “T or F” exercise.

9. Listen and read the passage after the tape.

Step 3 Post –reading

1. Have Ss try to say something about the parade they know about spring festival.

2. Have Ss talk in group ang write down their ideas

6. Ask some of the students to share their writing.

Step 4 Homework 1.

Share your writing about the spring festival parade to your parents or friends. 2.

Finish some exercise
