Unit3 A Lucky Day 学生在本课前已学习了过去时态,掌握了动词的过去式等词汇,学会了询问别人过去的活动和回答。本节课继续学习运用动词的过去式去描述连续发生过的事情,并根据活动创设的情景进行对话,完成各项学习任务。

课型:新授课(词汇和句型)

课时:第一课时

(40 minutes)

一、教学目标:

本课要求学生能够理解掌握并运用新单词:win/won the game, eat/ate some cotton candy, get/got a gift, wake/woke up late, miss/missed the bus, lose/lost my keys及新句型:I had a lucky/bad day! What happened? First, I….Next, I….then, I….学会询问别人发生了什么事情,并能正确地描述连续发生过的事情。

二、教学重点:正确理解并熟练运用本课新单词和句型。

三、教学难点:能正确运用这些新学的单词去描述连续发生过的事情。

四、教学过程:

Step1.Warming-up 1.

Greeting. 2.

Let’s chant: What did you do? What did you do? What did you do yesterday?

I watched TV. Oh, yeah! I sang songs. Oh, yeah! I went to the park. Oh, yeah! I rode a bike. Oh, yeah!

Free talk. T:(Show “Gogo”.) Look! Who’s he? Ss: He’s Gogo. T:Today Gogo will introduce his friends to you. But ,first you must answer his questions: T:What did you do yesterday? S:I…. T: Were you happy yesterday? S:Yes, I was. / No, I wasn’t. (设计意图:通过free talk引导学生思考并复习学习过的过去式的词汇,创设情境,引出主题) Step2. Presentation

1.Lead -in

1)T:(Show “Jenny”.) Who’s she? Ss: She’s Jenny. T:Yes, she’s Gogo’s friend Jenny. Jenny was happy yesterday. Because she had a lucky day.(Elicit the new word: lucky) 2)T: Jenny had a lucky day yesterday. What happened? (Elicit the new words: happen, happened; And elicit the sentences: What happened? What happened to Jenny/her?)

通过石头、剪刀、布的游戏操练句型“What happened?”。

(设计意图:通过石头、剪刀、布的游戏,能让学生在玩中学,引起学生的兴趣。让他们投入课堂中。) 2.Jenny’s day 1)T: What happened to Jenny first? Let’s go and see. (Then show the picture , elicit the phrases: win/won the game, and elicit the sentences.) e.g: A: What happened?

B:She won the game.

A:Wow! That’s lucky! 2)T: What happened to Jenny next? Let’s see.(Then show the picture, elicit the phrases: eat/ate some cotton candy, and elicit the sentences.) e.g: A: What happened?

B:She ate some cotton candy.

A:Wow! That’s lucky! 3)T: What happened to Jenny then? Let’s see.(Then show the picture, elicit the phrases: get/got a gift, and elicit the sentences.) e.g: A: What happened?

B:She got a gift.

A:Wow! That’s lucky!

4)T: Do you remember Jenny’s day?(Then have Ss answer, and show Jenny’s day and have Ss read it together.) (设计意图:用图片说出Jenny的一天,既对前一部分的内容进行小结,

又让学生学会用first, next, then正确地描述连续发生过的事情。) 5)Let’s chant:

3.Ben’s day

1)T: Look! Who’s he? Ss: He’s Ben. T: Yes, He’s Gogo’s friend Ben. But Ben was unhappy yesterday. Because he had a bad day. (Elicit the new word: bad) 2) T: Ben had a bad day yesterday. What happened to Ben/him? Let’s go and see. (Then show the picture , elicit the phrases: wake/woke up late , and elicit the sentences.) e.g: A: What happened?

B:He woke up late.

A:Oh! That’s bad! 3)T: What happened to Ben next? Let’s see.(Then show the picture, elicit the phrases: miss/missed the bus, and elicit the sentences.) e.g: A: What happened?

B: He missed the bus.

A:Oh! That’s bad! 4)T: What happened to Ben then? Let’s see.(Then show the picture, elicit the phrases: lose/lost my keys; lost his/her keys , and elicit the sentences.) e.g: A: What happened?

B: He lost my keys.

A:Oh! That’s bad! 5)T: Do you remember Ben’s day?(Then have Ss answer, and

Step3. Activity

T: I’m tired. I think you’re tired, too. Now let’s play a game: “Bomb Bomb Game”. 游戏规则:学生看到图片和单词,就说出

词组;学生看到炸弹,就用手挡住头;学生看到拍手就拍手。

(设计意图:通过快速读词组,既巩固前面已学的词组,又能在玩中提高学生的学习的兴趣。)

Let’s play another game: Rock, Paper and Scissors. 游戏规则:以二人为小组,玩石头,剪刀,布的游戏,输的学生从袋子里抽纸条并跟根据纸条内容回答。

e.g:A&B: Happened, happened, what happened?

A/B:I ____.( 输的同学抽纸条并根据纸条内容回答)

A/B: Wow! That’s lucky!

(Oh! That’s bad!)

(设计意图:通过玩石头,剪刀,布的游戏,让学生复习学习过的词组,为接下来的活动做铺垫。) 3.

Emotion education 结合故事情节,渗透情感教育,不管我们过得开心还是糟糕,都要过好每一天。
